Combine that stat with the fact that the Mets have only scored above 3 once this season, it makes me even more confident that the Marlins can get this win. Marlins scored 10 runs against a better pitcher in Matz, so it will be interesting to see what they can do against Verrett. Historically, Comerica park has been ranked in the bottom five in both run producing (10% less than league average) and homerun rate (21% less than league average). Combine this, with the projected humidity in Detroit and it spells for a low scoring contest. I have opted to stay away from the run total because Detroit's average against Niese, as a team, is above .300. Pittsburgh, on the other hand, hits a measly .252 against Verlander. For those who have gotten 10+ AB vs. Verlander, only Matt Joyce has an edge over Justin (6 for 17). The others: McCutchen (3 for 15), Jaso (2 for 16) and Harrison (2 for 10).
