DeMar DeRozan (knee, ankle) has been ruled out vs. the Wizards on Sunday. DeRozan was initially listed as 'probable' for this home game. He's banged up and the silver lining for fantasy owners is that neither of his injuries is considered long-term, with coach Gregg Popovich referring to them as normal "wear and tear" which will require "a little bit of rest." In his absence, LaMarcus Aldridge's offense will be more critical than ever while guys like Marco Belinelli, Patty Mills, Derrick White and Bryn Forbes will all chip in

Hey bb! Not to be a contrarian or anything, but can we be sure to count on the Warriors in a regular season game like this? Yes, they are the best team in the NBA and quite possibly in history, but given that this will be played on the Celtics home floor and they’re the ones with something to prove, won’t the Celtics be the ones with all the motivation in the world to beat Golden State? After all, losing this game won’t really do much to GSW as they are already proven winners. |

Strongly leaning Memphis +4. The game vs Sacramento tonight was a downer. They played pretty well and were right in the game until the end and what did them in was a highly questionable call where 1 ref called a foul and the other a jump.
Locking this in later. |

As the title says, what is going on? It opens at 11.5, closes and then opens up at 12.5. Is there anyone who won't be playing for philly? Or is this a typical occurrence?

What I meant to ask was, is this really a letdown spot for the Wizards?

I've been reading on the forum and a lot of people are saying that there is a possible letdown that might happen in Washington. Is this really the case? Washington is fighting to get into the playoffs and is currently on a good streak. Also, they beat a Cleveland team without Lebron. Is that really a letdown? Beating a team without their best player? Thoughts on this one?

hey @caseyaffleck, what do you think about detroit not having both kcp and meeks? Less scoring options for the wings of Toronto to guard. I jus thought that you might be the perfect person to ask being a big Toronto fan.

Odds are not out yet but I think that this game is possibly a great spot for the Kings. The Celtics could have a possible let down coming in to this one having won against the Cavs in epic fashion in the Cavs' homecourt. Now they go home and face a Sacramento team that has just lost to one of the worst teams in the NBA (Brooklyn). Their last meeting ended with the Kings getting beat by 22 points and Rondo getting ejected in the 3rd quarter. The only thing that worries me about this is that Sacramento is playing and defending atrociously after allowing BROOKLYN to score 120 points on them plus all the turmoil going on inside their locker room, the Celtics on the other hand are on fire both offensively and defensively and are playing well together. The Celtics are also currently tied for 3rd in the Eastern Conference which makes this possibly a must win for the Celtics.
Any thoughts on this one? |

Any one find it fishy that Toronto started out as a -1 favorite and is now a +1 dog? Seems kinda odd because Toronto is very hot lately while the Blazers who are also doing well, only really have 2 players that bring the team to wins. How can a team like Blazers be a favorite against the Raptors?

Both teams heading into this one are not looking good. Indiana lost 3 straight prior to winning 2 straight while the Bulls have been up and down going LLWLW in their last 5. Paul George has been struggling mightily recently and going up against an elite defender in Jimmy Butler won't do much to help his cause, toss in the fact that Jordan Hill will be out a vital piece of their front court and bench. CJ Miles on the other hand is questionable. But all is not lost for Indiana because despite all this, Monta Ellis has really stepped it up averaging 20 ppg on more than 50% shooting in his last 3. Also, Indiana has held opponents to under 90 points in their last 2.
Chicago on the other hand is a mess right now. There have been reports stating that Jimmy Butler is not getting along with his teammates and that he seems to have changed after signing his new contract. His teammates are questioning his leadership and the tension between Butler and his teammates is really bad. A -3 line seems fishy to me given the fact that Indiana is missing a lot of key players and their superstar is struggling. Chicago should be more heavily favored in this one. But with the reports on Jimmy Butler, it seems like the Bulls aren't a team you can count on right now. The pick is INDIANA. But please feel free to comment and discuss if ever I did miss out on any important points. Let us all help each other. Thank you and good luck to all!! |

The Celtics are on a 4 game winning streak which is their longest win streak for the season while the Lakers are on a 4 game streak of their own but in the loss column. The last 4 losses of the Lakers have come by an average of double digits. Will there be an angle here about the Lakers giving their all and covering because it will be Kobe's last game in Boston (where he also brought his family along for the trip)? Do they have the fire power to keep up with the surging Celtics? Or will the Celtics show no mercy and just pound their long time rivals? Thoughts?
