I don’t think today is another gift. I’m on the Braves -150 and also have them parlayed to under 7.5 -110. |

Fourth career shutout for Winnipeg’s Eric Comrie and his second of the season. He also blanked the Hurricanes on February 7th. |

Jets backup goalie Eric Comrie ended his personal 8-game losing streak on January 26th. Including that 5-2 win over Flames, Comrie is 5-2 since then with a goals against average of just 2.00. |

And now there's even more reason to like it after the Jets announced that they're basically forfeiting tonight's game by starting backup goalie Eric Comrie and his lousy 4.12 goals against average. The Jets won his first 3 starts of the season and then dropped his next EIGHT. Comrie got the start in Vegas on November 29th and was a 4-3 looza. |

Mark your calendars for Sunday, April 13th, when the Hurricanes will host the Maple Leafs. The Hurricanes lost to them 3-1 in Toronto on February 22nd. |

I do not win bets like that. I only lose them. |

The Pistons have been so tough after a loss. It’s been that way for weeks now, and that 19-point loss in Minnesota was ugly in many ways. |

I’m on the Pistons, too, +13 and +600. |

That thread title is supposed to read “The Capitals tonight might be skating right into a Hurricane” |

Back on December 20th, the Capitals hosted the Hurricanes and defeated them 3-1. Tonight is the rematch at Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, and that building has been a very bad place for teams to visit if they defeated the Hurricanes in their own arena in their most recent meeting from earlier this season. Let's take a look at just how bad...
The Hurricanes lost 4-3 in St. Louis on October 19th. They hosted the Blues on November 17th and beat them 4-1. The Hurricanes lost 6-4 in Colorado on November 9th. They hosted the Avs on December 5th and beat them 5-3. The Hurricanes lost 4-1 in Utah on November 13th. They hosted The Hockey Club on February 8th and beat them 7-3. The Hurricanes lost 5-4 in Columbus on November 23rd. They hosted the Blue Jackets on December 15th and beat them 4-1. The Hurricanes lost 4-3 on Long Island on December 7th. They hosted the Islanders on December 17th and beat them 4-0. The Hurricanes lost 5-2 in Nashville on December 23rd. The Hurricanes hosted the Predators on March 25th and lost 3-1. The Hurricanes lost 4-2 in New Jersey on December 27th. The Hurricanes hosted the Devils the next night and beat them 5-2. The Hurricanes lost 4-3 in Columbus on December 31st. The Hurricanes hosted the Blue Jackets on January 23rd and beat them 7-3. The Hurricanes lost 3-2 in Tampa Bay on January 7th. The Hurricanes hosted the Lightning on March 11th and beat them 4-1. The Hurricanes lost 4-2 in Buffalo on January 15th. The Hurricanes hosted the Sabres on February 27th and beat them 5-2. The Hurricanes lost 3-2 on Long Island on January 25th. The Hurricanes hosted the Islanders on March 30th and beat them 6-4. The Hurricanes lost 4-0 In Montreal on February 25th. The Hurricanes hosted the Canadiens on March 28th and beat them 4-1.
That's a killer 11-1 record at home, covering the puckline in all eleven wins and winning those games by an average of 3.1 goals per game. The rested 'Canes are also 8-2 at home this season when playing with at least 2 days rest. The Capitals come in unrested after narrowly defeating the lousy Bruins 4-3. This is the Caps' third game in four nights and the second of a back-to-back. They are an excellent 24-9-3 on the road this season, but only 2-2 in the second of back-to-back road games.
The line on this game got steamed up overnight, no doubt by those already aboard the Lenovo Center Revenge gravy train. The current prices are Hurricanes -210 and -1.5 +125. I myself am opting for only the puckline. |

Jeremy Swayman swiped at the puck as it slid across and missed it, and there was old man Ovechkin standing unguarded to tap it in like a 2-foot putt. |

I’m on the Jets +110, and my action on them will be considerably more significant if the Capitals and Bruins stay under. I have a parlay there with under 5.5 +110 and the Jets +110. |

The Jets are undefeated in regulation this season when seeking revenge. Eight wins, one shootout win, and 3 OT losses.
All eight of those wins were by 3 goals. Tonight they’ll seek DOUBLE revenge over one of the three teams that is 2-0 against them this season. The Jets lost 4-1 in L.A. on November 27th and then lost in overtime at home on January 10th. The Jets will be in the same situation two days from now when they invade The Fortress on the Las Vegas Strip. |

Lots of Capitals backers today, and understandably so since the Caps are in Boston to face the dead men walking Boston Bruins. But are any Caps backers concerned that the team might overlook the towel-tossing B's when Washington has a much more meaningful game tomorrow night in Raleigh? |
