created a topic Paying Taxes in Gaming Industry - US Good Morning Everyone - Just wanted to start by saying this is my first post here on Covers, although I have been reading posts on this site for a while, and I am impressed with the level of camaraderie and knowledge that you all share with each other. I have read numerous posts from people (US citizens) who were worried about receiving checks from offshore books, fearing that they could get in trouble based on the UIGEA; however, others have responded (specifically Vanzack), stating that there is nothing to worry about as long as you pay your taxes on your winnings. While I have no problem with this, I was hoping someone would be able to provide me with advice as to how this would be done. Would I have to fill out a Form W-2G, or would I just report it on Form 1040? Any information would be greatly appreciated!
