created a topic NattyLight Thursday 11/20 Picks BigPlay in College Basketball YTD: 2-3-1 (-1.03 units) Took the night off last night, back at it tonight with my biggest play of the year so far. Texas -4.5 (-108) vs. Iowa 2 units Texas is the clearly better team. They will wear down Iowa all night with their bigs down low. Texas has one of the best frontcourts in the country. Will make Iowa make shots and I don't think they can hang with Texas' offense. I rarely bet more than a single unit on a game but I really like Texas to come out and show they're a top team in the country. UK looked real strong. They have 8-9 NBA ready players on that roster. They played mediocre on offense and won by 32. Scary good team right there imo. Always played behind, Oh well onto the next.. YTD:2-2-1 (-.07 units) Today:0-1-1 Kansas +7 (-105) vs. Kentucky All the hype is around Kentucky and the platoon system. But I think tonight a team with more experience can keep it within 7. I had this spread at more around 5. I think some of the preseason hype behind Kentucky has something to do with that. I think Ellis and Alexander can compete down low with the Kentucky bigs. They'll have to stay out of foul trouble but I think Traylor Seldean and co. can keep it under 7. created a topic NattyLight's (2-1 YTD) 11/18 TipOff Marathon Picks in College Basketball 2-1 YTD (+0.93 units) Was busy this morning so stayed away from the early games, Liked Manhattan +8.5 what'a that would have been. So on today today, gonna start it out with San Diego St. -4 (-102) vs. Utah Like Steve Fisher's squad to come out early in the season @ home and pick up the victory here. I see SDSU's frontcourt being the difference here. Big day down low for Spencer on Defense, bet he gets about 3 blocks. Also like Winston Shepard to have a big game. If this game was a 7 o'clock game I'd probably stay away, but I can't stay off the home team for an afternoon tip on the Tip Off Marathon. Not a good combo. That Hunter kid can play for GSU though. Liked the way Dejean-Jones fit into ISU's system as well. No plays on the 11 o'clock games so I'll be back with a new thread for tomorrow. created a topic NattyLights (1-0 YTD) Monday 11/17 Picks in College Basketball YTD 1-0 (+1.00 unit) Texas dominated yesterday with that frontcourt, expect to see me one them more in the future. But for tonight.. TCU -5 (-108) vs. Washington St. I know TCU was 0-18 in conference last year, but I think this is the year they put some wins together. Not saying they're making the Tournament but I think with Kyan Anderson coming back for his senior year, the addition of Pitt transfer Trey Ziegler and center Karviar Shepard having a year of experience under his belt, TCU can win some games this year. Wazzou is coming off a 13 point loss @ UTEP a game in which they shot only 35%. I see TCU being able to score some points tonight and unless Davonte Lacy from WSU gets some help tonight, I can't see them keeping up.
