I went 21-2-1 today just on Sunday NFL picks....but when i checked the weekly leaderboard, i'm listed as not having made any picks. Is that common? Something wrong with the site? |

@MrECapps Looks like AI isn't much better at picking games as humans. |

I know there are baseball games today (6/18), but there are none on the board. I'm also finding that my overall rank for MLB picks, as dismal as it is, doesn't match between what my profile says and the overall leaderboard. It also says I haven't picked any games for the weekly leaderboard either. Covers definitely has some technical issues going on that I hope they fix soon. |

I'm sure everyone sees this, but is the site not updating our picks? I can't even make today's MLB picks cause all mine from yesterday are still pending across all King of Covers and Survivor games. Is this going to be fixed soon? |

Did PR disappear? I've been tracking his original system since Week 8 and then when he apparently starting taking the teams with the higher spread prediction number and both are hitting roughly 50%. It has seemed to bounce back and forth week to week with no real patterns to establish. Only 2 number i found are relatively successful the 2nd half of the season:
When the Top 7 teams (according to the ESPN power rankings) have the higher number, they are 19-13 or 59.38%. When the Away team has the lower number, they are 33-27-1 or 55%. Everything else is either at 50% or between 45-48%. I'm going to take his original tools and play with them over the off season to see if there are more definitive patterns than the original system he was using. There is some potential there, but when i started betting just with my own instincts instead of patterns, i've actually done slightly better (hitting about 53%). So, i've come to the conclusion that even looking at historical data, its always a crapshoot. LOL

Thanks for the advice everyone, except the moron who thinks the refs are in contact with Vegas during replays.

I'm relatively new to betting on football on a regular basis. I feel i have really good knowledge on most teams and can make a very educated pick when it comes to picking games. Some weeks I'm up and some down, just like most others i'm sure. But, I like the action and I know i'm betting on more games each week than I should.
So, my question is for serious replies...how do you decide which games to bet on? From what i see on other threads, it looks like betting anywhere from 4-6 games only is what most do. But, how do you decide which games those will be? Are you looking at potential payout? Confidence in each game? Can someone share their insight on how you make your decision or shoot me a PM and we can discuss offline? I appreciate any advice out there!

Not bad for my first week. I've tracked a stat that's hitting 80% right now. So i think next week, I wont bet on every game and instead stick with that stat instead and just put more units down on each of those. Clev@Cin - Cin -11 WON GB@Car - GB -3 LOST Was@NE - NE -14 WON Ten@NO - NO -7.5 LOST Mia@Buf - Mia +3 LOST StL@Min - Min -3 PUSH Oak@Pit - Oak +4.5 WON NYG@TB - NYG -3 WON Atl@SF - SF +7 WON Den@Ind - Den -5 LOST Phi@Dal - Phi -3 WON Chi@SD - SD -4 Overall 6-4-1

Adding Ten@NO - NO -7.5
All games i'm doing 5 units. Waiting for Bovada to put up the Jax/NYJ games still.

**DISCLAIMER** - I'm fairly new to picking ATS on a regular basis...I usually was betting just straight money line but saw some of the lines were not as profitable. Straight Up, I'm about a 74% winner. But, i've been tracking alot of trends this year where i feel comfortable posting my picks now. I just ask that the so-called "pros" don't criticize simply because i'm new here. I could easily criticize their misses just as much.
Anyway here's my Week 9 picks: Clev@Cin - Cin -11 GB@Car - GB -3 Was@NE - NE -14 Mia@Buf - Mia +3 StL@Min - Min -3 Oak@Pit - Oak +4.5 NYG@TB - NYG -3 Atl@SF - SF +7 Den@Ind - Den -5 Phi@Dal - Phi -3 Chi@SD - SD -4

PR, i started tracking some stats this week based on your original methods. Clearly you've changed your methods almost opposite your original ones.
This weekend, when the home team had the Higher home pts avg from your original spreadsheet, they were 4-1 for example. (NE,KC, HOU, & OAK - Won and ATL - Loss) What have you seen to make whatever changes you've made?

Well, even going 1-1-1 is still pretty much guessing.

Lets summarize this....
Over 51 - Loss 1st half Pats -4.5 - Win 2nd Half Over 24 - Loss You're just guessing as much as anyone else...there are no "experts" here.

Should we assume you made some adjustments to your system? |

PR, are you saying you are changing the method's from your original post in your other thread? If so, can you share what is changing? Even though the past 2 weeks haven't been as kind, i'm sticking with your oringal methods unless you've discovered something major that needs tweaking.

Thanks for what you have shared so far PR. I lost more than i hoped, but I still won money overall, so i can't complain. No system is perfect and no one can expect to win every game.
I've already run the spreadsheet and figured out the predicted teams for Week 7. Waiting of course for the Power Rankings to come out that might change 1 or 2 picks from what i can see so far.

That's what you get for bragging about all that money you just lost. HAHAHAHA
