Jimmy there will be well over 15k that make it into the stadium as ALABAM ticket holders have sold that many tickets on line to LSU peoiple. That is a acurrate number to as of today at 3pm.

TAPPY, with all due respect sir, there will be no starters on either side of the ball coming out of this game till the clock reads 00:00!!

Hey TAPPY, you could be very right sir. My point was both LSU QB'S have faved larger crowds on the road and came out victorious. These are not 2 rookie QB'S . LSU'S OL is not rookies either, they know how to handle noise. Noise will become a factor IF ALABAMA jumps out on toip early. After the 1st quarter is over I dont see the noise factor being that big of a issue. Both of these teams will settle in and play a quality football game. As I said before 4th quarter will tell the tale. BTW LSU was given there 8k alloterment of tickets and have bought another 7k off of sites that ALABAMA fans have sold to LSU people. Last count I heard there will be over 25k TIGER fans in TUSCALOOSA !!

Wewll I have never been to Tuscaloosa but I have been to The Swamp and Knxville for that matter was just as loud as any SEC stadium I have ever been to with there n110k plus they stack in there stadium. Will it be a factor? mOf course it will but both these LSU QB's have faced these kinda crowds many times. As I have said in other threads, what will matter most is who turns the ball over in the 4th quarter and whose punter gets the best of field posistion in the 4th quarter will ultimatly decide this game. Best of luck to everyone, cant wait to get to Tuscaloosa to watch this game.

Tppy, Great write up on the TIDE and TIGERS and pointing out great insight on this massive game sat night in Tuscalose. Its been a different week in Baton Rouge like any other. I have friends that have been around the practices and others that cover Les Miles on a dailey basis and from they say, its been intrense and rough at practice with no BS at all this week. The players no what to expect and are being well prepared. At this point both teams know it will be a battle on both sides of the ball from the first snap to the last. Forget the stas, they mean nothing at this point. NEITHER of these teams have faced what they will face on Sat night. It will be a tough, hard fought game for 4 quarters with the winner getting the big turnover in the 4th quarter or the kicking game playing a huge part in field posistion. Again throw all the stats out the window and let them play ball. Again great write up. I see LSU 23-BAMA 20. Best of luck to you and the TIDE nation and see you afterwards to discuss what could be the biggest college football game in 30 years !!! |

SMARTBETS, no hating on your words as this is a forum and everyone has there own opinion. True Bama has not played the schedukle that LSU has played. Only thing I disagree with is you say BAMA is " much more physical" tehn LSU. Not buying that one. Good luck .

Anyone have a update on Tulane/ East Carolina? Its been 27-13 EC for a long time.

The only way BAMA wins by 17 is if they have controlled the game the entire 4 quarters and LSU gives up a late pick 6 or turn over for a td.

A great commercial !! Another thing we havent mentioned much is the punt game and field posistion. Brad Wing of LSu has done a great job of putting teams deep in there own territory and giving them bad starting field posistion. Not sure how BAMA's punter has done, but starting field posistion will be key also in this game.

Jimmy , thanks for your insight as I really can't argue with much of what you have said. Im not sure if you said it but the size of the LSU secondary is not that much of a difference then that of the BAMA secondary. Claiborne, Mathieu, Simon and reid are the starters for LSU along with taylor. Can't judge Mathieu by his size as he plays way above his size.

BTW who are BAMA'S starters as DB'S ?

Also Jimmy please terll me what BAMA cornerback is vbetter then Maurice Claiborne oif LSU? Per all the experts Claiborne will be the number 0ne corner taken in the draft. Now he is a beast of a cover corner.

I think the following quote shines a little more sunlight on my comment about Saban being the best secondary coach in football . . . at any level. "There was a time in rookie camp where they would have us go up and draw defenses on the board. Our base 'D' at Alabama was their complicated 'D'. It got to a point where everything out of my mouth was going to shock those guys. I would go up to the board and draw things and the coaches would be copying it down.” – Javier Arenas (Former player for Nick Saban at Alabama, and current Kansas City Chief) |

Im thinking in a game this big that was moved to 8pm eastern start in prime time the officiating will have to be right on and not like a couple of years ago when it was obvious on many calls that went BAMA'S way. This will be the biggest college regular season football game in god knows how long!!!!

I cant understand how you can give BAMA the edge at DB. Between Mathieu, Claiborne and Taylor, tahst 3 of the best in the SEC right there.

Tappy, its all good my friend, and you may be right.Bama may wear LSU down come 4th quarter. If BAMA establishes the running game it will be a long night for us LSU backers. One thing for sure, BAMA is deep,m and physical as is LSU. I have seen many football agmes in my day going to The Swamp, Starkville, Ole Miss and last year , excuse me I ventured out to see Ohio St play Michigan at Ohio St which was a great experience. As a kid I remember all the ass whoppins Bear Bryant put on Charlie McClendon. There is no football like SEC football as this year I travelled to Knoxville and what a football town that is. This will be my first trip to Tuscalosa and I wouldnt miss this game for the world. COULD turn out to be the most anticipated game in 30 years. I look for a close game throughout with whoever makes the big mistake or turn ovcer in the 4th quarter losing. Lots of pressure on both these teams as the build up creeps upon them. Remember these are 18, 19 year old kids playingf the game. Thanks for all your input about this game and I hope to see you after the game either way. I truely hope this game lives up to all the hype it has produced!!!

Hey TAPPY dont know you , but you conviently left out my last FACT, I said it was a fact that talking with LUCAN was a pleasure because of his knowledge of football and his team. I've had no problem with LUCAN or any other BAMA backer in here till you come in here and start shit. I recognized his knowledge of football not once but twice anmd showed respect. I have been around this forum way longer then both of you and have met many knowledgable people on here. Both of you think BAMA is gonna route LSU. That is a joke. I bet you if you go poll ALABAMA'S team they are in no way thinking that. You know why? They have looked at the tape, some played last year and were beaten in Baton Rouge as a 6 point favorite. BAMA'S starters on both sides of the ball understand they are in for a long night as is LSU'S fronts. You guys think like you do obviouisly because you are BAMA backers which is fine. But go ask the neutral fans in here and you will see at best a 50/ 50 split on who will win. I have not put down you or BAMA in these conversations, not my style. I respect Saban simply because he turned around LSU football and got us a title. The spread is 4.5 at present, thats giving BAMA 3 for home field advantage, so the difference is 1.5. Really think the pro's think this will be a blow out? NOT. After looking at everything, I see one thing, BAMA has played NOBODY !!! The schedule proves that. Now I have shown both you guys respect in here but if you wanna start slinging mud, then I can do that to. Lst FACT TIBBY, LSU is the number 1 team in the country in all polls and that you cant dispute. See if BAMA wins then I pull for them to win it all because Im a SEC fan. If LSU wins it all then I win all around because Im a SEC fan and I get to tell both of you I told you so !!! BTW TAPPY this game could very well come down to a FG. Who then has the advantage? Also I meant in no way that Richardson couldnt block honey badger. LOL I meant that is one less option McCarron has to go to. Oh and please give me a break with those WR'S you mentioned that are all threats, now you made yourself look dumb. Maybe against NTexs and Kent St and Vandy they wqere a threat but not against LSU. BAMA does not have 2 WR'S that can match up one on one with honey badger of Claiborn or Brandon Taylor. I really cant wait, as I will be in Tuscalose for the game. This is one game I wouldnt miss no matter what the out come. LUCAN again good luck,
