replied to Let's Crush the Books: Conference Tournies in College Basketball Thanks for the insight. I have done well in years past during conf tourneys as well.... I remember one season going to Vegas for a weekend having to leave early due to losing my behind....That season I was in Vegas during Conf tourny. On Championship Saturday I did not lose one game that I bet on that day. Very different capping since you no longer have the road home to go by in most cases. Neutral site games were so long ago they do not really tell you anything. I treat them all as road teams. Little harder to find stats and comparisons. Some things I have noticed over 25+ years in tourny. 1 College teams are not used to playing every day. As the tourny wears on deeper teams seem to win. Generally speaking the unders are the way to go. I also like taking big dogs as the favorites are just trying to win and advance with least effort. 2 Free throw shooting must be considered. Regular season games teams may concede the loss. Conf tourny they will not. They will foul til the bitter end. That can push 2nd halfs over the posted total as well. 3 Teams that are in the NCAA tourney may just be playing for a seeding. The real tourney is March Madness. Teams going on and winning conferences rarely do well in March Madness as they have been spent winning Conf Championship. 4 ML dogs will win every day. Playing ML dogs in spots can make your bankroll bigger. Playing them in wrong spots can eat it up as well. 5 There is no such thing as a lock. If anyone says lock or promise or garauntee simply go against them and win money. 6 Many get caught up in March Madness and play over their head instead of playing with their head. Never bet more than you can afford to lose. Never bet to many units one 1 game and most importantly is be selective. Over 80to 100 games a day will start to dwindle and by the end will be 9 for conf tourn BOL to you man. As the season winds down there is still some money to be made. created a topic BIGGS WHERE ARE YOU ? Thank you for sharing in College Basketball I saw a thread where he gave out a play and was chastised for stepping up units. He got trashed by a bunch of you guys and I have not seen him since. Biggs capped games in advance and if you followed him or faded him helped others out. There are many good cappers on here. It seems like so many just here to trash those that are trying to help. In my season thread I have felt same thing from some. They are actually happy when you lose. If they were smart and truly didnt believe in you they would simply fade your plays and make money. Not sure why people are the way they are. If the punks are allowed to push quality guys away from covers they will be all that is left. Kind of sad really. The asses overcome the massed just like in real life. A few dont want prayer or Pledge of Allegiance in schools....Then we wonder why things are going to hell....The movie IDIOCRACY comes to my mind for those that have seen it. created a topic Senior Day Advice in College Basketball Been doing this a long time guys. Generally in Vegas this weekend. That is why I can tell you with such certainty to be careful on Senior day. Home teams struggle in the 1st half when they play seniors that are not in the starting lineup normally. Everyone thinks that senior day packs emotion and take the home team in first half. Look for games today where Seniors are gonna play more minutes than usual and go the other way...Happens every year. I am playing more road teams today than normal. UC DAVIS Bowling Green UL Monroe Tennessee.....Cant see Florida should be favored by 6 against anyone. Love the line of 6 when I am getting 6 , 3 or 1.5....They may win outright but 6 point dogs seem to cover at alarming rate.. TREAD CAREFULLY AS SEASON WINDS DOWN THIS WEEK.
