created a topic Road King's College BBall Free Play in College Basketball CBB Wisconsin -3.5 @ Indiana Wisconsin has been a tough foe for Indiana of late, even in years when Indiana was clearly the better team. This year, Wisconsin comes to Bloomington with a target on their back, and if IU wasn't the a team made up primarily of freshman and sophomores I think they'd understand how to embrace that challenge. The biggest difference about this year's Badgers is they can put points on the board. They've gone 75 or higher in their first 3 Big Ten games. One stat that jumps out to me is free throw shooting. New rules this year have led to a higher amount of free throw shots, and a Wisconsin team with 5 seniors and 2 juniors ought to be smart enough to take advantage of that. IU is 7-7 ATS spread against a group of opponents who have averaged 68% free shooting in their games against IU. Wisconsin averages 73% from the strip and if that doesn't get us the 4 points we need to cover, they're also a 39.8% free throw shooting team. I don't think we'll have to worry about those stats much, though. I don't see any reason why this one is close. I've got 2 NBA plays going tonight as well. Denver Nuggets -5.5 @ Utah Jazz The Jazz are bad, just 12-26 on the year, 7-11 ATS at home, and tonight it gets even worse as they'll be without their leading scorer and top outside shooter, Gordon Hayward. Their inability to spread the floor should lead to a tough time scoring and transition opportunities for the incredibly fast Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets are a top-10 rebounding team as well, and the Jazz don't have the size to keep their active big off the offensive boards. Transition and 2nd chance points should make up the 6 points we need to win this one. Get on this one now while you can still get a decent number. My Free Play for you is Under 51 in Colts @ Patriots. These two teams were a combined 18-15 over/under on the season (Colts Playoff Game Included) and books want you to jump all over the over after seeing the Colts put up 45 on their own last week. When you dig a little deeper, though, you see the two teams are a combined 13-8-2 over/under against the number 51 and only covered pregame totals of 51 or over three times combined while going under totals 50.5 or below a combined 14 times. The Patriots have quietly become a very good rushing team (9th in yards and 2nd in TD's) so they'll control the ball much like they did when Peyton was QB for the Colts, but without Gronk in the red zone the Colts defense can key on the run and the Pats likely will settle for more field goals than TD's. I look for a final score of 26-24 for a close win, but a win nonetheless. I've got a little dough sprinkled on this one, but I've got another GUARANTEED PLAY for this weekend that I'm going full hog on! These two teams combine to be about 50-50 over-under on the season, are a combined 30-39 against tonight's 209.5 and have only gone over a pregame total of 209.5 or higher 8 times this year while going under totals below 209 28 times.
