Michigan +7, gut feeling harbaugh finally gets over the hump in snowy Ann Arbor mich st/Penn state 1st half under 25.5-poor weather and slow start for both teams kentucky +3, better team, home field not a big deal for cards bama-19(bet early in week)-tide smash auburn before getting beat down next week against Georgia Boston college+5, the beat down wake took last week gives them a big hangover here, eagles win oregon state +7, can Oregon recover after getting steamrolled by Utah? I think not.

Average week, had some great picks(ole miss, Fresno, rajin Cajuns), bad picks (Ohio state, Miami, Oklahoma, Georgia southern), and a couple that could have gone either way.
Marshall +7.5: was against them last week as I thought it was a bad spot for them, but think they rebound this week. Back and forth type game with home team pulling out a close one. 34-30 app state michigan-20: could it be they are legit this year? Maybe not, but they are clocking right now and talent gap vs a well coached Rutgers team will be too much. 44-17 Michigan Iowa state -7: should we be excited that Baylor beat Kansas? Nope. Cyclone roll after there get right game. 41-24 ISU A&M -5: I’m not ready to buy the hogs even though I lost against them last week. The aggies have a legit D and I see this being a low scoring affair, but a big turnover is the difference. 27-17 aggies Oregon state +13: bad spot for USC against a competitive beavers team. 31-27 Trojans wake forest/Virginia over 68.5: I really like wake forest this year, but think this a last team who gets the ball wins in back and forth scoring affair. 41-38 someone leans: auburn, Nebraska, Colorado state?, middle tenn state
thoughts, discussion and feedback welcome! |

2-0 start to the week add-ons: miami-6: flipped on this pick from where I originally was going. Miami has had 2 tough games, mich st, not so much. Spartans wilt in the heat by end of game. 31-20 Miami ECU +10: they put a full game together and stay within the number. 27-21 herd
considering adding on to the Ohio state game, really like that play. Think it gets ugly.
good luck to everyone today! |

@TRAIN69 1-0 after last night another half unit degen play tonight: ucf/ville over 67-not expecting a defensive showcase here, just need these guys to finish drives and this should end in the 70’s. 41-34 ucf looking at a couple more for tomorrow to finish the card. |

@UNIMAN Hot and humid with rain likely in Florida. I’d bet the bama-uf game sees a weather delay at some point. |

@Fp0688 I could see Tulsa struggling to score. The buckeyes defense will be motivated to play well based off their last 2 performances, so we will see.
Adding: Georgia Southern +23: Terrible spot for Arkansas. Coming off a HUGE emotional win against Texas, and now facing a non traditional team in Georgia Southern, that happens to be sandwiched with Texas A&M last week. Can't think of many worse spots, think they come out a bit flat and struggle to pull away from Southern. 30-22 Hogs Louisiana ragin cajuns -19: Small half unit degenerate play. These guys have terribly underperformed so far, but the same players are there from last year that had great success. Ohio has been pretty abysmal, and no reason to think they are suddenly going become a cohesive unit. Cajuns get it going tonight with a big win. 38-10 Cajuns |

@incognegro I keep wanting to pull the trigger on Michigan state, but something is keeping me away. Miami has looked awful, but I have a feeling they play well here?… |

Started off week 1 well, tanked last week…. like the slate this week, here’s what we got so far: Ohio state -25: they will score early and often on Tulsa, who left it all on the field against the pokes. Yes the buckeyes D is questionable, but they are covering by over 2 scores in the 4th to protect against back door cover. 47-17 kent state +22.5: Iowa coming off the huge emotional win last week against a capable MAC team. Iowa starts slow before pulling away late, but not enough for the cover. 31-13 ole miss -14: lots of love for Tulane in this game after the strong showing against the Sooners. Tulane is talented, but no way they duplicate the energy and emotion they had for that game. Too much talent and speed on ole miss. 44-20 texas A&M -29: think jumbo gets the run game going with spiller and Achane. Will be a long day for New Mexico as the talent gap is very large. 52-10 fresno +11.5: UCLA hype is out of control after beating an average LSU team. Fresno is battle tested after a big game with the ducks in week 1, and UCLA looking ahead a bit to Stanford. Not calling for the upset, but this will be a 4th quarter game. 30-24 bruins oklahoma-22: Nebraska is bad, and mistake prone. Martinez can’t hit open receivers, him and Milton from Tennessee should hang out. Emotion may keep them in this for a bit, but this game is over in the 3rd quarter. 49-20, lean over as well Other leans still looking at: Boston college(waiting on line to settle), miss st., Georgia southern, East Carolina.
good luck to everyone this week!

Love this post, really gets my memory going. My first memories of college football were on the radio when we would go on weekend camping trips when I was a kid, mainly listening to Florida state games. The game that comes to mind though is the “choke at doak” in 1994, Florida vs FSU. I remember watching it on some super small tv in our RV at a campground with a fire going outside(smiling as I type this!). My dad is still a huge FSU fan(even though I’m not anymore), so it definitely is one that hooked me. |
