I just checked the standings and picks, 2 nights ago I picked Houston for Saturday's game, and somehow it still has my pick in but it's for Wednesday's game, which is a Game 7 and may not even be played. How was Wednesday's Houston game available to make a selection when Saturday's game wasn't even played yet? My pick was supposed to have been for tonight, not Wednesday. Also, my Lakers pick was supposed to be for tonight as well, and the series is now closed, but my pick is still on the board for Wednesday. I believe the boycott screwed the picks and the site all up and basically put my pick in on the wrong date. They still have the Portland L.A. game as possible to be played on as I'm posting this. Just wanted to mention it because this season continues to be a shit show. |

Let's get out of this before it gets any uglier. The NBA at the moment is a shit show and there have been issues with Covid and now games are being postponed because of player boycotts. Who knows how long this mess will continue or if they just end up canceling the season altogether. I have been looking over the standings and have an idea of how we can distribute the money now and get out of the contest. Would you be interested in seeing what I have proposed? |

Just curious, I see that the Memphis vs Portland seeding game popped up and is available to play on. Is that considered part of the regular season? If so, does that mean playoff games are also counting in this pool? Thanks |

Listen, I hate to be a pain in the ass, but again, you'd be letting someone sit back and look at our records and decide if he wants to get in. This "9th" guy should not be allowed in the pool because he hasn't paid yet. Payment should've been required within the first week of the NBA tipping off. If he wanted to wait till college football ended to make picks, that would've been fine IF he got his money in back at opening week of the NBA season. No new players should be joining at this point and there should be $800 in the pot. |

I'm glad he's in, the more the players, the merrier. |

You're exactly right, although you've completely missed our point. Your original post stated, "I won't put his money into the pot until I see his picks". It wasn't about him making his picks, when he starts making those picks, or the integrity of the player. It was about him being in or out from the start. Because again, the way you worded it, says that until he makes a pick, his money is not in the pot. Which again, goes back to us saying that he could wait and see how the other players are doing and decide if he wanted to get in the pool or not. That's all. |

What he's saying is there should be a total of 8 players in the pool. Currently there are only 7 in the standings. From what you have said, "I know there's an 8th player, but until I see some picks from this player, I won't add the $$$ to the pot yet". That is problematic because that 8th player, if he has already paid, whether or not he makes picks is irreleveant. Once you pay, that money is in the pot. If anything that 8th player sounds like the situation that rudie and myself are in; we have paid, but we have not made any picks yet. Doesn't matter that we haven't played, our money is in the pot. What it sounds like you are allowing is for this 8th player to sit back and watch our winning %'s. And if we are all hitting a good %, this guy can then say "wow these guys have a good lead, I better not get in" and then won't make any picks. His money should not be held. You can't wait to see what other players are doing before deciding if he wants to pay. |
