I don't know much about VA but am leaning that way for some reason. I do know they have a qb that beat out the kid that is starting for GA so there must be some talent there. I also know they've played a tough schedule to date but being competitive in tough games doesn't lead me to believe that are any good if they dont win.
BSU's freshman qb may very well be the better option for them but a freshman on the road is hard to depend on. Virginia 1st half?? Somebody tell me something about the cavs on both sides of the ball please because I don't follow them. |

Welp, that puts it right on the number. So if that's the case, why do you like it? No saying it's bad, lord don't get upset. Just asking.

I'm just looking for a reason to pull the trigger on this game but I've watched Penn state a few times this year and their offense is horrible. All I've heard is how good Hackenburg is and he hasn't shown me anything. Not that I'm anyone to judge him but you get what I'm saying. I completely agree on Penn state D shutting them down but can they score 14? Can they have a breakout game? |

Just curious if anyone had any insight on this? WKU has the ability in offense to put up 40+ on Miami OH, but does anybody know anything about their defense? Does Miami OH have a pulse on offense?

I'm the most pessimistic Tennessee fan on the planet and defiantly haven't been drinking the orange kool-aid, BUT I simply believe Tennessee has more talented players all over the field. This game comes down to how tennessee's o line holds up vs Floridas front 7. Gun to my head, I'd go Tennessee. Just remember, Tennessee was up 2 scores going to the 4th quarter vs OU, meaning they held them to 3 points for 3 quarters. Floridas offense isn't the old spread em out and go crazy that spurrier had. |

Tennessee is still young all over the field and on the o line. They will move the pocket or let Dobbs roll out and create. They do have weapons at wide receiver, I disagree with the above post. However, I'm still not sold on Dobbs being a world beater. He's the best option they have had in a couple years. Simply because he can make a play with his legs and extend plays. My main concern is to see how new OC, Debord, handles the offense. They absolutely played not to lose when they jumped out early on OU. Maggit is out for at least 5 more weeks but we have Barnett on the other side. Kirkland Jr will probably start at MLB, which may or may not be a good thing. It's probably a better option than Jumper back there. I do think Tennessee wins here and had they beaten OU, they would be a touchdown favorite. BUT.....they didn't beat OU and still haven't had a signature win since Fulmer. Tread lightly, but I do think Tennessee gets the win here.

Yes I'm a Tennessee fan, but I'm a pessimistic Tennessee fan. I rarely taken them and rarely take whoever they're playing. Anyway, I think this line is going to move, which is why I'm posting now. They're currently +1.5 on my site. Had they beaten OU 2 weeks ago, they would be a touchdown, or better, favorite. They should have beaten OU. Tennessee has been looking for a signature win since Fulmer left and this may be as close as they are going to get. It's a huge rivalry and Florida is down this year.
Against Western Carolina this past weekend, TN was very vanilla on both sides of the ball and they pulled most of the starters in the 2nd quarter. I would imagine they have been planning for this game as well. I'm very reluctant to tell anybody that Tennessee is a good pick but I really think they win at the swamp this Saturday. Their talent is simply better than Floridas. Mike Debord, the new OC concerns me a little, but after all the heat he took for letting off the gas in the loss to Oklahoma, I think he will keep this pedal down this week. |

Do they tend to cash at a high rate, like 60% & up? Not to say that OU won't win, but like I said, I can't imagine this even being a good game to place your hard earned money on. Maybe wise knows something, I don't, who knows. It's really 1 of 2 big games this weekend, LSU at Miss St being the other, and I don't for the life of me know why people insist on betting these games??? They have the sharpest lines and I don't really know how you can make a GOY argument for either side. I understand watching Roast Beef University and Colorado School for the Blind battle it out in the trenches isn't the most exciting thing in the world, but it's about making money for me. Plus Im a Tennessee fan so I don't need any added interest to watch the game. Tennessee, in my opinion, has been one of the hardest schools to be on/against over the last decade or so. You don't really know which team is going to show up and they are still so YOUNG. Sooner made a good point as well about the 2 freshman (one is a redshirt) tackles starting for OU. Just a lot of unexpecteds in this one. I don't really post plays simply bc I don't want to defend myself every day haha. Did well week 1 on the less attractive games. Like Michigan -14 (bought hook), GA Tech -28, LSU -3.5 (may have jumped the gun on this one) and Georgia -20 if that's worth anything. I just think Vandy is atrocious on offense. |

Tennessee is gething Todd Kelly Jr back in the secondary, which should help. However, he is also young, as is almost the entire defense. They did give up 30 to BG and almost all of the points came off of deep "go" routes with Mosley in man coverage. They buttoned that up in the 2nd half but it's definitely concerning. Cam Sutton should shut down one side of the field, or at least take away their #1 receiver. Outside of that, I'm pretty nervous about the defense. They also have a DT put and Vickers is starting in his place. Not a huge deal, but the 2 freshman (Tuttle and McKenzie) will get more reps.
I think the defense can be very very good and that's not from a Homer perspective. Been a big TN fan for a long time, but I don't look through orange glasses if you know what I mean. It just all depends on when this young group "gels." I do believe it will happen, but I'm not sure when it will be. On the offensive side of the ball, I believe Tennessee will try and control the tempo of the game by keeping the ball on the ground. They definitely have the tools to move it in the air as well, but I think it will be a run first attack this weekend. 2 really good backs that compliment each other and Dobbs always has thever option to pull it out and take off. I believe the offense will be there. Neyland stadium can really provide a home field advantage and this weekend is expected to be as loud as its been since probably 2006. They're going to do the checkerboard thing and living 50 minutes from Knoxville, they have really been promoting how much the fans are needed this weekend. It may affect Mayfield in some key situations. With all this said, find a better game to put your money on!! This thing could go either way. Gun to my head, I'd probably go Oklahoma but I think it will be a touchdown or less game either way. Tennessee hasn't won a big game in what seems like forever. Not since the Fulmer days anyway. If they win this weekend, they will be dancing in the streets! Just my 2 cents. |

GA Tech rolled last night, as I thought they would. However, different situation with their offense. Also last night, Wake beat the #*$& out of some FCS school. I admittedly no nothing about wake except for the fact that they are HORRIBLE. They were 26.5 favs and that made me think something was up. Same situation tonight with Rhode Island vs Cuse -33.5 and Weber State vs Oregon State -28.5. Both Cuse and OSU are going to be pretty terrible this year and yet they are both huge favorites. This is solely based off looking at numbers on a page and it only happens the first 2 weeks of college football.
Does anybody know anything about any of these 4 teams??? |

Did you hear about the football info he had lost and apparently just found 2 weeks ago? He said he had compiled situational football info and lost it 18 months ago, then found it 2 weeks ago. Continued to say that he took that info, combined it with the last 18 months and vandy would be good to go moving forward......and he was dead serious. Haha cracks me up!! He really is such a nice guy though, vandy is no longer mediocre, back to the bottom. Just tells you what a job Franklin really did when he was there.

I'm doing this from my phone. My question, how do I follow the threads I start without having to scroll back through them each time. Is there some way I can set up a notification when someone responds?? Thanks in advance.

I agree and think they very well may hang 50+ tonight. Alcorn state is picked to finish finstead in the SWAC and averged 49 ppg last year. Granted it was against SWAC competition but still. I guess the question becomes, do you think Alcorn State puts up 14ish?
Side note, I'm doing this on my phone. Is there a way to track my threads so I'm not looking for them over and over. Thanks in advance. |

Does anybody have any info regarding the FCS schools tonight? I know GA Tech usually steamrolls an FCS opponent each year, especially with their style of play against a smaller December Line, but 40 is a LOT.
Also, Stony Brook is one of those teams that's always down 40 at half each year week 1. They are +23 at Toledo. Any information is helpful. Thankso fellas! |

Ok I'll rattle a couple of things off here.....Idaho has won 5 games in 4 years!!! 5!!! They gave up 16 plays over 50 yards last year and allowed an average of 462ypg and 37 ppg. I'll be really honest and say that I don't know how many either side has coming back total. I do know that Idaho has their qb back for his soph year and a good punter, so there's that. Anyway, somebody please talk me out of falling for a trap here.....

First of all, new to covers. Best of luck to everyone this year. On to the Ohio game, I'm mind boggled as to why this line is moving down. I don't think the Bobcats are world beaters by any means, but Idaho is annually horrible. Can somebody please shed some light on this for me??
