I find this game interesting just as much as the next person with how can you back Joe Saunders in a big game like this. I mean he is 0-6 with a 9.38 era at texas and is lifetime 3-7 with a 6.48 ERA. This just seems too easy to back Texas here at home who have done well thus season h2h and being they have the best batting average against lefties and the Oriloles team, so i had to dig deeper... what i found is this~ Joe Saunders has been lights out coming into this game despite his 3-2 record over his last 6 outings. He has a 2.77 era in those games and a 1.80 era in his last 3 roadies.... His last start against these rangers in their ballpark happened in 2010 where he pitched 7inn of 7 hit ball giving up 1ER against a lot of these same rangers.... My guess is that the orioles feel confident enough with these numbers as much as i do..

You have to remember that this is Darvish's first start ever against the Orioles and despite him pitching just a well, many different things can happen in a pitchers first start against another team. With the struggles that Texas has had of late winning only 4 games in 13 tries in 4 straight series, having a .303 BAA in its last 7 games, and a pitching ERA over 6.5  has me reason to believe they are continuing to be the choke artists. Maybe theres more to their struggles as pertaining to josh hamilton gift wrapping the division to the A's..What i do know is that self destructing teams that fade late are bad bets at this price im going with what many are avoiding and backing the Orioles here in a upset.... but i will take the 1.5 especially since Baltys pitching staff is one of the best on the road and over the last 7 days they have been unhittable with their .177 BAA ... and thats including the yankees big game the other night.... Pitching wins tonight !!!
