replied to Is Phill Kessel the real deal in NHL Betting I have always liked Kessel. I always defended Burke with the trade because there was no way of knowing we'd be giving up the 2nd draft pick at the time. And even up to the start of last year people would still bring up the trade. But he has always performed well, other than some defensive holes, and a few longer slumps. I would write radio stations on twitter to shut up about the trade already, and that Kessel keeps outscoring Seguin. The constant chatter and whinging was so annoying. It's what Toronto media and fans do best. Finally, in the playoffs against Boston last year, people finally shut up, the tide turned. People began the 'thank you, Kessel!" chants. Boston fans stopped chirping about it, because they realised what they gave up...and then Seguin was traded for being an idiot. We won. Have loved the trade the whole time. replied to Saturday morning hockey and pancakes in NHL Betting CT...stick with your picks. But I will give you my take. Finland freaks me out. They have been scoring goals like mad and are confident and able. They have a totally legit chance to beat Canada tomorrow, and some people on here have gone Fin +1.5 which isn't a bad choice at all. If I were to bet, I would take the under here, with the teams checking each other - that first period is going to be played tight, imo. Maybe the whole game will. I think the score will be 3-2, CAN. But I am just hoping they don't lose. It could even hit OT at 2-2. Hopefully not 3-3 for the over. If we let in three goals, I will get worried. I don't want to take you off your bet though. I just don't have the confidence Canada will own them with 2G. But of course they could... I would have a hard time feeling confident with Norway -1.5, when Austria mustered twice as many goals against the same teams - FIN and CAN (and we all know Can shut them out). Austria could win that game outright, let alone a gift of +1.5. I think personally I would stay off this game as it's too hard to call. If I were just to bet for fun, I would bet Austria ML. It's totally possible. As for the O/U there, I think it should go over. Goaltending isn't spectacular. These teams have not won, and they both think they can win. I predict a more open game after trying to play tighter versus the best teams? Maybe 4-2, or 4-3. Grabner and Vanek better show up tomorrow... These are all, of course, just guesses, hah.
