(Everyone counting out The Gophers already. Even with Akeem Springs out it doesnt affect Gophers at all. I will take the hot underdog of late (winning 8/10 last games straight up and 7/10 ATS). Give me the DEFENSIVE BIG10 Player of the year Reggie Lynch & versatile PG Nate Mason, FW Jordan Murphy & both guards Amir Coffey/Dupree McBrayer all day. Sorry guys (NO UPSET) in this game today on 12 vs 5 seed.  Minny wins outright!

VIRGINIA -7 (buy.5) (12:40pm)
(Defense wins games! Virginia lead nation in points allowed per game (55.6pts). They were in a slump but rebounded well winning last 4/5 games. However they got beat by a great shooting FRESH resting Notre Dame team in last outing bc of fatigue do to back to back games. They are rested and will bounce back in a big way tomorrow.  Cavaliers in double digit win)



ST.MARY'S -4 (buy.5) (7:20pm)
(Again Defense wins games! St.Mary's defense only allow average of (56.5pts) per game.  
They are (0-3 vs GONZAGA) & 28-1 vs everyone else.  Sometime a team just got your number. However I will take my chances against VCU that's (3-3 in last 6 games). 



Purdue-10 (7:27pm)
(Yes, Vermont is a good team in the American East conference, but look what happens when they play against big schools (Lost to Butler by 12, L-to South Carolina by 18, L-to PROVIDENCE by 22pts (PROVIDENCE the Choke team tonight against USC). They will have no answer for BIG10 player of the Year Caleb Swanigan and the well rounded offense and defense Boilermakers.  Purdue win by  18pts or more.)



Virginia Tech+6 (buy.5) (9:40pm)
(V-Tech have been really impressive in last 10 games. They are (8-1-1 ATS in last 10 games). They have a great offense and can shoot lights out behind the arch.  We saw what happens to Wisconsin in BIG10 championship game vs a good shooting team.  I will take my chances with Zach LeDay and the Hokies.  They will cover or win outright Imo.)

(TCU just blew their loads in the BIG12 tournament and all disappointed that they didnt make it to the big dance.  They will not be motivated to play tonight and might get beat straightup by a scrappy Fresno State team that's been playing great winning 6/7 last 7 games. Too many points for a disappointed TCU team to cover imo and I wouldnt be suprise if Fresno St win outright.)

Motivated are not, it goes both ways bro.  Every team in the BIG DANCE is no slouch, they made it in for a good reason.  I am not saying USC will not be able to win but can they cover the 3pts.  Both teams in my opinion are pretty evenly matched but I will side with the hotter team right now with the points.  PROVIDENCE are 80% (8/10 ATS) in their last 10 games compared to USC's 50% (5/10 ATS) last 10 games. 



PROVIDENCE: (Coach Ed Cooley)

Cooley says he's picked up plenty from other elite coaches. One thing is to expect a (tight game). There are no soft teams in the tournament, after all. He says the trick is to try to hang in and shrink the game to crunch time.

"Get your team to a point where it becomes a four-minute game. That's what you have to try to do at tournament time," he said. "If you can do that and execute, you're giving yourself a good chance to advance."

(Last year Providence beat USC with buzzer beater to win 70-69
in opening round.  Same scenario this year, Providence been playing lights out won 6/7 games. This game will be down to the wire and Providence will cover or win outright imo.)
