created a topic MLB Division Winners in MLB Betting Around 40 games to go and wondering who everyone has for each division? Not sure many sportsbooks will quote division odds any longer but here are the Iron's picks : AL East - Yankees AL Central - Twins AL West - Rangers NL East - Braves NL Central - Cardinals NL West - Padres Yankees will beat the Rays who take the WC, I just think that the Yankees wil find a way down the stretch to outgun the Rays - experience counts The Twins currently sit 4 games clear and just have the better all round team than the ChiSox. I can see them winning this division by at least 7 games in the end. Rangers - Nuff said really Braves - well this is the toughest one to pick imo, the Phillies rotation is back to normal and all the big bats are back in the fold. The Braves have been playing excellent ball all season and they look to have the easiest schedule from here on in, I'll take that although the Phillies will get the WC and be the team to beat in the NL playoffs. Cardinals - They are beginning to rock and the Reds are not experienced enough down the stretch, I see Votto cooling and big Albert will take the Cards to the NL Central. Padres - All season long I've been waiting for them to slow up and they haven't :-( Ok they have a lot of division games left but they've shown they can beat them all. replied to NYC Trip in General Discussion thanks G&G, not necessarily got a budget but obviously the cheaper I can make i the more I have to blitz. I'd normally wouldn't be too bothered with the funds but moving soon to Oz so kind of a last chance to get to NYC for the next couple of years Other option I have is to stay in Newark for around £650 which would give me around £1350 to go at through the week. created a topic NYC Trip in General Discussion Hi all, looking for a bit of info from anyone. I'm looking at getting a flight on the 7th Sept for one week to the Big Apple. Found a hotel in Brooklyn called the Sheraton and was wondering how easy it is to travelk around/costs. Basically I'd like to take in as many of the sights like Times Sq/Manhattan/Central Park/Statue of Liberty but also interested in travelling to games at : Yankee Stadium Citi Field Meadowlands Yankees at home on 7th, Mets 10th to the 19th and Giants home opener on the Sunday. Hitter's parks are the SAME for both teams so when push comes to shove I know which teams i would rather be backing. Ever heard that August is the "dog days of summer"??? created a topic Car Hire USA in General Discussion Hi all, As I have a bit of spare holiday time before I start my new job, I was looking into a "road trip" in the USA. I would have to travel from the UK most proably flying into NYC and then back from LA or Vegas. Do hire car companies allow you to move their cars for them at a cheaper rate/free? For example if they need cars in a certain location will they let you drive them over for them whilst using the car? Looking at taking in as many games as possible on the route to the West so that would be the final destination in effect. Saying that I'd be quite happy with NYC to Green Bay as I'd love to get to Lambeau again and catch a game(take in the stadium tour which I missed last time ) Any help, greatly appreciated.
