@USCHolmey Oh. Jut canceled because of COVID. Sportsbooks know before everyone else, of course. |

Why is the WSU/ASU game today not on the NCAAB Contest list? |

@USCHolmey ASU has had a really tough year with injuries and Covid. At full strength, they are a Tourney team for sure. That loss the other night vs. Arizona was an absolute heartbreaker. I feel like tonight will be a determiner if they are going to fight for the season or just kind of shut it down and regroup for next year. I think the team's motivation is on top of a fence and could go either way, and if things go poorly tonight, things could fall apart. But, they are playing Arizona tonight, and the heart and soul of their team, Remy Martin, who has not been himself at all this year, came to life in the last game. He looked like the antagonistic, aggressive, pain in the A$$ that he has been the last few years. If he is operating at 100%, he won't let ASU fold. He has several very good players in his supporting cast, and if Graham or Cherry play tonight, it will really help. The team is deep when at full strength and much more athletic than Arizona. The Wildcats have removed themselves from postseason consideration in an attempt to hold off NCAA sanctions, so their motivations will waver all season. This is a death-match rivalry though, so they will be ready to play tonight. You never take an under in an ASU/UA matchup nowadays. It's been an "over or nothing" bet situation for a few years, but 156 is rough. No play for me. Arizona has plenty of talent, but their backcourt situation is shallow with Baker out for the year and ASU's strength is having several guards who can cut to the basket just as well as they can bomb long 3's. I got ASU at +6.5 after dragging my feet and missing out on +7. Its not a huge play because I can really see Arizona coming out and punching ASU in the mouth and ASU just phoning it in, but I trust Martin and his fight and desire and think he won't let his team shut down. Good luck everyone. |

@jskrieg Hey bearfan and jkrieg! VTDon were you on the LOCK Thread? I had USC, but I wouldn't have LOCKed them. I did bet a bunch on the over though. USC is good this year. They have the tallest team in the country and play nasty perimeter defense. And the Mobleys in the paint lead the country in combined blocked shots. They have been without their point guard and team captain (Ethan Anderson) for the last 8 games or so and it has really hurt the offense in spurts. He just came back and played a little last night. When he was out, the offense would go through long spells of struggling in the half court. I want to see how things go with him back. If they pick up the offense say 25% with him back, then this team will compete for the Pac-12 title. Anderson is short, so that may hurt the perimeter D a little, but he is tough and the heart of the team when he's out there. When USC has their 'big' team out there, the other teams needs to take 3's from 3 or 4 feet behind the arc and the paint is basically closed when both Mobleys are in. |

Dang sorry guys. Didn't have time to check in yesterday. USC is just better than UCLA across the board, though. Not sure about today's games. I do know weird crap happens in the Sunday late Pac-12 games so it always makes me weary. Gonna look around a little more. |

Hey Bandit! I actually have only seen them a couple times this year, and they were awful every time. UW had a really tough night last night. Foul trouble and just bad play. I don't think I am putting a lot of weight on that game, and considering it a bit of an anomaly at this point. Maybe they do turn it around, but I don't think they are very good this year. Maybe .500. WSU played like crap yesterday against USC also. USC tried to give them back that game several times but their star scorer (Elleby) was 3-for-22 from the field and was just killing them with bad shot selection and forcing shots. If he even shoots 33% from the field, I think USC farts that game away on the road because they played like crap too. Those were just my observations from yesterday in case they help. |

This is strictly a pace-of-game play here. WSU averages over 83 points per game at home and Ernie Kent has always thought that flying up and down the court is the best way for an undermanned team to compete against better teams, which is where we are tonight. The Cougs can fill it up, especially at home, and thy will have to think their best chance at a win in this game is to get the game easily into the 80's. Colorado is not the type of team to push the pace, but their best player, Wright, is also their point guard, and when WSU wants to run, my guess is he won't back down. WSU does not put a high priority on getting back on D and I think Colorado and Wright will take advantage of it. I also think they will not go out of their way to try and slow the pace either because I think they don't particularly fear the Cougars and they probably think they can outscore them. WSU's top gun, Robert Franks, may be making a run at Pac-12 POY right now, and I expect him to come out firing and to carry WSU into a tight game that should see both teams get near or over 80 points. Barring a lousy shooting night, I think this oen gets into the 160s.
Good luck all! Straight Cash Holmey!

Part 3: And, THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE! You must give an original explanation as to why you KNOW this LOCK will win. And don't just "stat" us to death. Tell us about the game. And if you are going to try and fool us by cutting and pasting from another website, at least figure out how to remove all the HTML and other garbage. People on this thread are all over the internet and will find your plagiarism. I guarantee it. You can use Last 10, ATS, etc., numbers to support your argument, but stats from a gambling website are not an explanation. They are stats that any of us can get anywhere on the internet. Also, how about if you have actually SEEN the team play that you pick. I'd say that if you haven't seen a team play at least a few times, you can't really be an expert on the said team. FOLLOW THESE RULES AND YOUR LOCK WILL GET TRACKED Thank you for your understanding and your help in keeping this thread for the benefit of everybody, not just a place for you to blather out random picks and toot your own horn. Good luck today and let's work together to win some cash! |

Part 2: RULES FOR POSTING - We take it upon ourselves to donate our time and track everybody's LOCK every day, as long as you agree to do your part by doing a few simple things. We will not track your LOCKs if you do not follow these rules. You are welcome to still post your PICK or card, but unless you do the things below, we won't be putting your LOCK on the spreadsheet. - Post only 1 LOCK per day. You may post a MAXIMUM of 4 LOCKS per week. A week starts on Monday, and ends on Sunday. Choose NCAA, NBA, NFL, or NHL. You do not have to stay in one sport. Spread them around if you like. - No "buying" points for LOCKS. - First half or mini lines are OK. No second half or quarter lines. We want the LOCKS posted early enough so we can all benefit . Time constraints make second half lines too tough to track. - No other "line-manipulations: like teasers, etc. - No parlays. - Hockey, baseball, and soccer plays need to be -129 or better. No HUGE favorites for LOCKS. Anything -130 and over, take the -1.5 goals or runs if you feel like it is still a LOCK. - Do not try to cheat on lines. We, as a group, are all over the lines and every time someone gives a stinky spread, it is always called out. If the line is off, the LOCK doesn't go into the spreadsheet. |

BTW, I just found this lol..... READ THIS BEFORE YOU POST!!!!!!!!! REMEMBER - A MAXIMUM OF 4 LOCKS PER WEEK! AND A MAXIMUM OF ONE LOCK PER DAY! This thread has been created for all of us to share our expertise with everyone else to benefit the group. THIS IS NOT A PICKING CONTEST! PLEASE make special note of this!!! If you have an area of expertise - Pac-10, NBA, Soccer, MLB, Big East, NHL, etc. - please make some LOCK choices from your area of expertise when you have a game you are confident enough in to call it a "LOCK". The difference between a PICK and a LOCK is that a PICK is a game you like, a LOCK is a game that you KNOW. We are here to help each other win. If you are claiming your choice is a LOCK, and you really have NO true knowledge of that game, then you are just cheating us and posting your PICK just for attention and to see your name on the board.

Hey Level! Not really. You know I only bet Pac-12 basketball, but only if I've watched like 80% of the games, which I haven't done in years. Just too busy now. I've been watching the last several weeks, but I don't feel like I've seen enough to 'know' what I'm doing yet. Also, the Pac-12 is a mess. There is zero consistency and I'm not sure any of the teams are any good. Every time I think I've got a handle on a team or a situation, they go out and lose by 20 at home. Doubt I will make any bets this year. Maybe by the Pac-12 Tourney, but probably not. |
