replied to Vanilla Visas in Gaming Industry - US The law is really aimed at terrorists. Apparently, they were using pre-paid cards to finance terror sites and thus all sites are now blocked. It may or may not apply with other cards. Depends on the bank, but odds are banks will be very careful. All international sites? Seems kind of harsh to me. replied to Vanilla Visas in Gaming Industry - US Got the answer. Patriot act in US is enforcing a law starting on 4/1/2012 that no gift cards of any kind may be used for purchases outside the US. What worked in March at betonline and sportsbook no longer works anywhere. She said that is all sites...not even just gaming....if they are international. I did in fact have the same card. April 1, 2012 Patriot act. She said US banks will slowly be blocking all the international sites as well. They have more time to get in compliance, but looks like gaming sites will be done with US credit cards soon. Not sure if there is a way around it. If anyone knows, pleasepost. created a topic Vanilla Visas in Gaming Industry - US Had one work at sportsbook and at betonline and now I can't get it to work a month later. It looks like the identical card and same issuer.
