2010 NRL Finals (Week One)...

Haven't locked in any plays of yet. Strong leans being the Warriors and Roosters.

Line in the Titans/Warriors is fucked up. GC has won 5 straight versus NZ and are a perfect 3-0 against them at Skilled park with the margin of victory being a converted try or more yet the line opened at +4.5 and is dropping to 4 and 3.5 in some places. Had the line opened at +6.5 I would have leaned Titans or at the very least stayed away but the 4.5 leads me to believe the oddsmakers think the Warriors are somewhat the right side...

The opinion of an Anti-Warrior and obvious Australian punter is as follows...

The Titans get their full quota of players back this week with pocket-rocket Preston Campbell having recovered from injury to slot in at fullback, which sees Zillman move to the wing; whilst the Warriors have named an unchanged side to that which comprehensively beat the disgraceful Eels last week. The last time these two sides met was in Auckland back in round 21 where the Titans beat the home side 28-20 and I expect a similar result here. This is the strongest opposition the Warriors have faced for some time as they're thrown into the cauldron of a packed Skilled Park against one of the best offences in the competition which they'll struggle to defend against. Campbell adds another dimension to the Titans attack with his sniping runs from Dummy-Half and brilliant counterattack which will no doubt cause headaches for this Warriors side. The soft nature of the Warriors recent games has not been an ideal lead-up for a clash of this nature and they're going to find the going too tough against a Titans side who're going to make the very most of this home ground finals advantage. The Titans are favourites but the line for them to cover is not large and they'll do it with ease. Pick - 3 units on Titans -4.5 or better point start (BEST BET)

Of note, the Pocket Rocket has been ruled out due to injury...

u know i really like the Warriors but the only thing that is swaying me against them is that the Titans swin and bath in luck........

Only six of the last 36 Finals matches have been decided by 10 points or less so in saying that it seems that if you like the favorite, lay the points and if you like the dog, hit the ML...

They tried to down play the incident as a 'prank', but it's emerged the Sydney Roosters have sacked two under-20 players for defecating in hotel rooms during a trip away last weekend.

Kind of see things the same way and the Tiggers average more points at tonight's venue. Smith seems to have the wood on Sheens though...

Manly Sea Eagles at St. George Dragons

The play...Sea Eagles +16.5

Will finalize the bet closer to kick-off. May get an 18 but will happily play the Eagles at the 16 on offer if it doesn't eventuate.

The obvious is that the Dragons are scratchy in finals games. Soward back running the show so it will be a structured, methodical performance unlike Sunday night's points explosion under the guidance of Fien. Line is a definite over-reaction to the recent Manly woes. Eagles have their backs to the wall and no one is expecting them to compete after seeing them get into the Finals on a shock Bunnies loss. That situation helps Manly as it takes away most of the pressure as they are basically presumed by most to be a 'dead man walking'. Shitloads of money on St. George. 'Wounded Dog angle' applies here...

Think the ML's should hit but I'd be concerned about laying the number with the Dragons although they hammered the Seabirds 32-10 back in Round 23 at Kogarah. Books lost a shitload with Roosters...
