Knights going for 4 straight wins today
When's the last time the Knights won 4 straight, I hear you say?
Rounds 8-11, 2006, that's when.
To put that into perspective, the only Knights players named today who were involved in that streak are Kurt and Jarrod
2 coaches have come and gone since then

Newcastle have beaten Canberra twice on the road in 22 years
But, the last win was a 70-32 rout in 2006

Payback time for angry Vidot
RAIDERS winger Daniel Vidot has declared his intention to exact revenge on Newcastle pivot Ben Rogers at Canberra Stadium tomorrow.
Vidot has been itching to get another shot at Rogers after their last encounter on August 31 last year resulted in both players being sent to the sin bin and eventually suspended.
Rogers was suspended for three games for landing a flurry of punches on Vidot's head.
The 20-year-old rising Canberra star was banned for two games after he retaliated by attempting to knee Rogers in the head.
Rogers apologised after the match, but Vidot is obviously still seething at what he described as a "dog shot".
"No fighting," Vidot said when asked what he had planned for Rogers.
"Everything will be legal. I still think it was a coward shot from Rogers and that's how I feel.
"I didn't even know what he was going to do; it just happened.
"I think that's built the rivalry between us and I've been waiting for this game for ages.
"My whole family is coming up this weekend. Everyone knows about me and the Knights."
Vidot scored a try in Canberra's 30-14 victory having made his NRL debut against the Knights at EnergyAustralia Stadium seven weeks earlier.
But his suspension meant he missed a chance to play in front of his family in Brisbane the following week. Canberra Times

Battler, brave move............
I am looking at last weeks game against Sharks, i said sharks were horrific (Topou was Knights best player) and the lead they had was never really comfortable, also Knights won the penalty count that day as well.......
My thoughts on the Sharks were realised what kind of team they are after the Manly game last night.......
Knights arent travelling that well is what i am trying to say here..
Anyways, BOL, i am looking at the overs

I agree Rostos, Knights aren't travelling that well. They were very ordinary last week, but have named the same side this week and are starting to look settled. They did knock over the Titans on the road and Parramatta before that. I wouldn't read too much into the penalty count, they lose them 9 games out of 10.
They have showed some resolve in their defence in those games too, which has been the most pleasing thing for me. They've conceded 10, 16 and 4 in their past three. That has to be some sort of record for a team that has never grasped the concept of defense all that well (in the past 10 years at least).
All of this could come crashing down today - we have copped numerous hidings in Canberra over the years. But this Canberra side aren't playing well (they beat a struggling Manly, who cares?) and fortress Bruce isn't quite what it has been this year.
The Knights need to win 5 of their last 8. I think they would have pencilled this one and next weeks away game to the Cowgirls as pretty important, as they face some stiffer sides in the month after.
If this was a Sturday night game in Canberra, I wouldn't touch Newcastle. But a Sunday arvo with a converted try headstart and Captain Courageous playing well....I'm in

Battler, the night they gave up 4 points was on a horrific MNF in driving rain where it was really really poor ball control rather than defence.
Against Sharks where they conceeded 10, it was in the wet and against the sharks, nuff said.
Titans where they conceeded 16, they played a Scott Princless Titans and they had 2 players out......
I can make an excuse for those 3 games they played in terms of not to really trust that defence.
Same for the dogs, although the case is stronger for the dogs....
They played the Raiders with Mogg at Half back, nuff said...
They played the sharks, nuff said...
But i was impressed with the D they displayed against Storm, dry , very fast track in Adelaide and conceeding 1 try through the hands against a team that has some of the most lethal attackers in the game playing an expansive brand....
I am not prepared to put much faith in the Knights D YET.....
Dogs will get a big test against the Roosters today

you can only play what's in front of you rostos.
Newcastle's defence has been horrible. I don't care who they have faced, they have at least showed some scramble rather than turnstiles.
By a bout 4pm, I'll have a far better gauge of where they are at
