Do you guys think Manly have severly over achieved this season ths far?
When the pressure was on, there halves looked AWFUL. They are very young, but all this talk is extremely pre mature.
They were LUCKy against the Eels a few eeks ago.
Lucky against Panthers that Burns couldnt hit a simple goal 5 metres to the post when he was 24-25.
I think it could start to catch uo to them......I exepct the same to happen to Melbourne.....
Do you guys honestly think Storm, Drags and Manly are THAT FAR ahead of everyone else? I mean like daylight?
I dont think so. I just think they have CARED more during the season than other teams. They arent better talent wise, they just CARED more. And in the era of defense, thats what counts.
When teams GET up closer to the end of the season, i think Melbourne and Manly might be found wanting a bit.
If Mebourne win on Monday night and BEAT the drags, then the greatest advice i could give anyone here is that one of the remaining 3-4 reg season games, they will suck it up in a game. There is no way on earth they will win every game for the rest of the season, NO CHANCE. They wouldnt want to get into the semis without losing a game in there past 13-14 or whatever it might be.
Any team with Slater, Cronk and Smith in it (and healthy) will go a fair way imo. Throw in the support players, and they'll take some beating.

Is there any other way?

Yea all agreed upon but them young guys for the Broncos are really stepping up around lockyer and showing some real class.
I think that if the raiders get going they could sneak in the top 8. All they need is for Dugan to stay fit and have couple bounces go their way and they make the same run they did last year.
Raiders have absolutely no chance of making the 8. They would first have to overcome an 80-point negative differential relative to Newcastle, and then win 3 more games than them.
No chance
