Call me naive, but are you suggesting that these wagers don't exist? That all the bets you read about in the paper and hear mentioned on the radio are bullshit? I could believe some of them are, but surely these books couldn't be allowed to continuously publish bullshit in the media week after week wth absolutely no regulation?
Surely
yes, most of them are.
You see, until recently the books were not allowed to advertise in NSW, Vic, etc. So how do they get their name out there? Creating bullshit, and that gets them in the paper and on TV. The worse 2 are Sullivan and Unportingbet and Tripp at Sportsbet. I have been restricted to a few measly dollars at Sportingbet and yet some guy can have millions on a horse? Matt Tripp talks about guys have half a million on Origin games?
I know for a fact the numbers that one book releases are not even remotely close to the real bets.
These things you quoted earlier, plus John Schells articles on a Friday in SMH and the TAB press release in the Telegraph are mainly used to attract punters to a side to balance their books or to attract money to a side they want to lay
other things I'm not prepared to post on a forum
