I agree with Rostos though. It is really easy to control any sport in which a single whistle can lead to direct points. Basketball and rugby when the posts are in sight. That is, if they go for posts.
You will see the penalty kicking die down a bit and teams going for the try more often in the S15 about a month into the season as the teams gel in. Right now they aren't fluid together yet so they chicken out and take the three points. Later in the season (month), they start going for five.
Union is not league either Rostos, as you know, so don't expect going for the try every time. Took me a while when I got into league about five years ago to figure out why those nuts weren't going for the sure two points right in front of the sticks. They coulda had 20 points on penalty kicks by the end of the night. League and Union a bit different in that philosophy, as you all know.

The Rebels were the better team and almost got screwed themselves on a forward pass that was not spotted. If anything, that late penalty was a square up from the rugby gods.
