Why spend millions on millions in trying to penetrate a market, create an impression and get household Hollywood actors to create trust with bettors and throw all that money and work out the window for $73k?
Something is not right here....
obviously they didn't get these millions by paying out legit winning bets

I dont think so....You would have heard about it by now....
It simply doesnt make sense trying to save $73k by battering your reputation which you are spending millions in trying to build...Especially in an industry like this where reputation is a very important intangable and word gets around very very quick...
Something is not right.

This is ALMOST the worst thing a bookmaker can do, This will destroy anyones trust in this books.
It is one thing limiting bets, it is also another thing shutting down someones account who keeps on winning...But refusing to payout someone over what is seemingly a simply bet and win is probably the worst thing a book can do.
Bet365 is an international book that has recently spent millions on millions in ads......
I find it astonishing that they would batter there rep for arguably the worst thing they can do...Again, limiting bets, closing accs is one thing, refusing to pay out a correct winning bet is a completely different story...Probably the biggest cardinal sin a book can do.......

Whats the max bet on an entertainment prop? 300 - 500 bucks or so?
From a quick look at sportsbet, max is $100 on bigbrother and the voice, $133 for the block. I can't imagine any book taking a very large bet where the producers etc could exploit them.
You really comparing the TAB getting stung a few hundred by some tv insiders to a book not coughing up 73k for a 4k first four box on a greyhound race, trying to back date the max payout on their TOS, offer the guy 1/3 and refuse to talk to anyone in the media?
Please tell me you're trolling? I've only been around punting boards a few years and it's rare to see anyone have much positive to say about them. I use them, never had a problem but I'm not a high roller or bet particularly large compared to most who have and I guess I've never gone on a good enough streak to be flagged as a risk.
I've cashed out several hundred multiple times, since they ditched in-play betting, use them more as a last resort/if they happen to have better odds for underdogs and round off change on ridiculous correlated 12 teamers of afl/nrl spreads and totals, daily mlb h2h multi etc which I expect I'll likely be banned if anyone of them ever cash, despite them offering bonuses for such bets.

The whole story hasn't been told. The race was being investigated don't know what happened but if it was rigged the guy doesn't deserve anything let alone a compensation..

Just read the whole story got to give credit where credit is due well done to bet365. Short version the guy that placed the bet left out 2 dogs the fav 2.50 and another at $11. Those 2 dogs refused to jump out of the box and we know what result was and payouts etc etc. investigations should the 2 dogs that refused to chase are registered under the guy that placed the 5k bet. Do the maths I guess
