Rumor is 'Bash 'em' Benny Barba flew up to Brisbane and may play for the Dogs. Would prefer that he doesn't play in all honesty...

BOL Bud like them a lot tonight as well. Broncos have nothing left to play for on the season and have just purely been weak over the past 2 weeks

Thanks mate.

On current form and talent the Doggies should win rather comfortably, plus Hasler is the type of coach who wouldn't want them to limp into the finals by losing to a weak Broncos team when the Dogs are at near full strength.

The 'popularity' of the Dogs tonight is the only thing that makes this a somewhat scary bet.

Stand alone games i.e Friday and Monday nights with a one-sided weight of action usually don't end up well for the well-backed team.

Also the Doncs have been 'rag-dolled' through local Queensland media by the likes of Gordon Tallis etc. May lift them, who knows.

I was not aware of that QLD media thing, that could be the thing they need to lift as well. Also With Ben out there some of the players may want to lift and show he is coming to a better team

This is a very strange one....It has come out that Barba is not talking to a few team mates..and you play on the same team? In a sport where success is built on mate ship/going to war with mates motto etc etc?

Not only will Barba be rusty after 5 weeks, but I wonder how he will go with the jibes of "wife basher" every 2 mins from the crowd. He doesn't seem like a mentally strong person at the best of times, let alone this.

It could go either way, he could blitz it, but his head hasn't been in the game all year and now this on top of him?

I wouldn't play him again...but it all comes down to if he made peace with the players...but he has the crowd to contend with,

Dude is playing for the Doncs next season, doubt the crowd will be to harsh. If anything, he puts on a show for his soon to be fans...

Their team did jack this year so they shouldn't really complain that they're getting a former 'Dally M' player in their respective teams' ranks. Doncs will be that much better next year...

We just don't have the defense that we had last year....Last year we didn't give up a try in the last 30 minutes of a game for like 14 games in a row.......This year our  d is pretty bad.
