so the degenerate gets the better of me and although i was going to stay away from tonights game i can't help myself but to have a couple of plays
Melbourne -4.5
if i was on a roll and hadn't had such a horrible read of last weekend i would have taken the storm less the 6 points, but i am not on a roll so i exercise caution and buy 1.5 points
the storm although they have not impressed me a great deal this year, come into tonights clash with less origin scars than the broncos. and it appears the books read it the same way.
the game is in melbourne, so the storm have the home field advantage.
storm origin players are not affested by travel and have been at home nursing their wounds.
when i add up the number of origin players backing up and not backing up for the broncos, i see that initself to be the decider. late in the game we can expect to see a very tired broncos pack and hopefully points for the storm

even though the chocolate soldiers appear to have it over the tigers in recent clashes, i am hoping to see a turn around. despite an unquestionable 75% record against the tigers, the score is one a piece at leichhardt, which everyones knows is tigers sacred ground. so i am expecting a gallant effort by the tigers tonight to atleast regain the advantage at leichhardt.
both teams will be hungry for a victory for a different reason. the panthers got a beating last friday night but have been on a good little roll of late, so they will be keen to get their campaign back on track against a team that is staring down the barrell of 5 straight losses.
michael jennings is out. no speedster on the wing to run in those long range tries the panthers have become accustomed to in 2009. the tigers should be absolutely desperate for a win tonight, and if not, chuck them on the blacklist as their season is as good as over.
5 straight losses almost puts the tigers out of contention this year, big call considering we are only half way through a season, but the mental effect has got to start taking over sooner or later
benji to take control and bring it home
