STHS $1.90 over Titans?
STG -3.5 juicing the pick your line?
SYD/MAN over 44?
All this and more, to be figured out in die time
Presently finding it difficult to stay away from a ML multi in Man / Tigers / Parra @ $2.01. Not usually a fan of multis and there has been a number of upsets recently but surely each of these teams has too much to play for. Parra are the largest concern in that they tend to lose matches they are expected to win, and will be without Cayless and Galuvao (although that could mean return of Mateo and / or Keating) against the Warriors with Price and McKinnon back. Nonetheless, that appears to be a solid multi.

You'd think it might be shades of this time last year with the Knights (when they upset the Storm), but it seems pretty clear that the Brian Smith drama has sucked the life out of that group.
And quite frankly I'm not surprised. It must be very hard, VERY hard to buy into buy a coach after he's effectively sold out on you for a better deal elsewhere.

I'm not so sure about that Gun. I'd like to think the public of Newcastle would have certain degree of empathy for what the playing group is going through post the Brian Smith episode.
This is a no-frills team that built it's success on self-belief, belief in the bloke next to him and belief in the systems and structure that Brian Smith had drilled into them.
Suddenly a big portion of what made the Knights "tick" has been destroyed due to Smith's defection.

Because it's very hard NOT to have it happen. Here you had a squad that wasn't really expected to do much this season. But they defy predictions and enjoy success based on their teamwork and chemistry. Those two factors were real driving forces for the Knights because they don't have the superstar power that allows other players to sit back and wait for something to happen. That group at Newcastle had to pitch in and play to a very high level every week to it done. And they did that. They believed in each other, they believed in their coach and they won games.
Then out of absolutely nowhere their coach announces drops an 'A' bomb on them by announcing he's leaving. Suddenly that trust and belief is diminished. And the second that NRL players and professional sportsmen in general, get the sniff of an excuse NOT to have to give 100%, they won't.
