My first thoughts on this game were to take Brumbies with the start. Why? Because they always play it tough against Tahs and the game is at ANZ rather than SFS. But that injury list is a huge hurdle to overcome. Sure the Brumbies have depth and are a close knit mob but when you're trotting out not just your 2nd pick but in some cases your 3rd and 4th you've got to be getting thin.
Toomua being out, on top of all the others, is not just a physical loss but a huge mental blow to the Brumbies. Nevertheless, and despite the class advantage of the Tah's backs, I think it will be Brumbies inability to match the Tah's pigs that will be decisive. Brumbies inexperienced hooker is the clincher for me. Waratahs test front row should apply plenty of scrum pressure and Brumbies line-out unlikely to be as smooth with the new thrower.
I can see Tah's obtaining 55%-60% of possession and if so the backs will run in their share of tries. Big Will coming off the bench in the 2nd half won't hurt their chances either.
Provided Cheika can have the Wallabies settled down and their minds on the job at hand, the Tahs should just be too good against what I'm sure will be a brave Brumbies side.
Tahs -9.5 for me.
Good punting all

Not generally one to blow my own trumpet but it's nice when you get it 100% spot on. Brumbies couldn't win their line-out, new hooker struggled to throw straight, too much all-round forward pressure resulting in 66% Tahs possession and you can shut the gate mother the horses have bolted.
