hope everyone had great summer. not sure if will be around much. apologies, late posting this. if ur around Boll/Doc, yep... encyclopedia time. started this little by little since beginning of month. not even going to bother editing, just cut-n-paste what buddies discussed and toss it all up here. a bit unorganized and short on time ill start with EPL.
England:
Premiere: (Boll, Doc + others familiar) thy lack of knowledge regarding the ins/outs of this league is causing me to back off a lot of the placement futures and go top heavy with totals (indiv & team). post some thoughts or whats running thru thy melon 2 weeks before the start and maybe you can chime in with whatever. and likewise with Serie A, I am very leery of last years results - speaking specifically of futures - ask me anything regarding the Serie A clubs and I could probably rattle off a decent response without any reading required. and using stats from LAST year - for whatever - is suicidal due to the impact on soo many fronts due to Covid.
at first glance, 3 things stick out like an eyesore. though I might not feel as strongly about it as thy Palace point TT last year it still raised eyebrows:
1) yet again, sounding like a broken record.....whats Pool doing in the 400s+ for the outrights? I swear I should plunk some on them for that merit alone. but also tossed some on Pool O76.5 team points (4th straight year I plunked something on them, perhaps need my melon checked). everybody stayed, last season was a disaster yet still had 69, and Virgil is healthy + most of their stars didnt have to deal with Euros. (i wonder if theres any value on them having the lead at winter break because of this?) 2) perhaps an even bigger one is whats Chelsea doing in the 450-500 range? took them on the Team Goal prop last year and it blew up in thy face before December rolled around. then got Tuchel - it usually takes time/adjustment period but Chels found success and with a FULL year and a roster comfortable/familiar with his ways youd have to think a similar run is coming. didnt they beat City a couple of times when it mattered too? Jorghino 2 - Kevin 0 on the two biggest stages in Europe (CL & Euros). and that roster is a deep as any up there, and everything im hearing down here right now, its appears as if theyre going to get Luk. so I jumped on them @500 outrights (nothing big, after all, this is City we are talking about overcoming) #3. whats the Foxes doing in high 50s for team total? am I missing something here? cause I had them pegged to compete for the CL slot again.....and the CL slot in EPL requires - bare minimum - 65 so either im really smart or im missing something, and thy melon is leaning to the latter. so tossed some on Foxes TT over 56.5 and making that a decent play.
City? getting Grealish confuses me, nothing against him, but when look at their roster, its confusing. perhaps will lessen the load on Kevs duties and save his legs now that he has a midfield running mate whom actually plays like a MF. Foden isnt cut out to play that position in this league. hate to say anything negative about Kev as we absolutely love watching him, but hes getting to the point in his career where he needs something to validate his lofty status". City will still contend/defend their hardware and theres zero value on anything. buddy up there says it would have been great for Lions had Harry signed. gotta agree with that, give Harry & Raheem a year to run around together and theyll get that cohesion down in time for a massive WC run. ehhhh?
