Tonight the wet dream of every Dortmund fan, Dortmund player, Dortmund official will come true. Ten months after Klopp left Dortmund he will return to his living room, to the place where he is immortal. Honestly, it's the proof that there's a football god out there. And this football god must be almost as crazy as Klopp to set up this game. As a Dortmund fan, I'm sooo glad Dortmund missed the Champions League this year just to be able to face Liverpool in the Europa League. It couldn't have gone any better. This is probably the game in which I should leave my degenerate self aside and just watch the game. Of course, I won't be able to. So I will give you my thoughts and pick for the game.
Jürgen Klopp formed a top team out of Dortmund. He is the reason why this club belongs to the best teams in Europe. He is the father of their success. Many players became world class players under his management (Hummels, Piszczek, Schmelzer, Reus, Bender etc. I could name almost the whole Dortmund squad). He comes close to a father figure for these guys. What does that say about tonight's game?
Well, I I have to go with the sons because they will play the game, they can put their emotions into this game, on the pitch. Unfortunately, Klopp can just take a seat on the bench. So we have eleven sons facing their father who isn't allowed to punch back. Dortmund will take this one. Not only because of the team who will burn but also because of Tuchel who is a coaching genius. He knows Klopp better than Klopp knows him.
