I can go on and on about how solid of a day I had yesterday but I won't, because there is no need, today is a new day. I also lost a small bit back due to college basketball being college basketball so I'm not immune to quick downturns. I just don't think that will happen today.
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN +1 (-135): I am sure this will be a favorite play but when I went to bed last night the spread was +1/2 and then I woke up to Bayern Munich odds much higher. Now I see PSG at +300 to win the game outright so I start to ask myself what am I missing. Similar to yesterdays game, if those are the odds and the total is 3.5 and is unchanged, then that MUST mean that the oddsmakers see PSG at least scoring one goal. Being they need at LEAST one goal as the reverse fixture ended 1-0 to Munich, I don't see them laying an egg. Moreover, as we all witnessed and/or read, the game crucially changed when Mbappe was brought in the second half and he even had two goals ruled off b/c of offsides (don't get me started). I know PSG will be without Neymar, and he is a loss, but the chemistry that PSG is showing of recent, scoring and coming back in games, is very impressive. I think that's more to do with the play of Messi and Mbappe than with coaching. But I do believe PSG have the advantage on the touchline as well as both managers are in their 1st year for giant football clubs. The recent play of Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz for PSG, has me confident they can create opportunities at least on the counterattack. I realize how good Munich is at home, but I also realize they can get scored on and do by far less lethal attacks in the Bundesliga. One can state the same for PSG and I think this will be an entertaining game, at worst. I do NOT see added extra time though obviously with my play it insures I win if that happens. So, in my opinion, there is just too much value in this line for me to pass up.
TOTTENHAM (-117): This is a game I absolutely love. The Spurs have been sputtering of late not being able to find the back of the net but they have also been sans their coach, Antonio Conte. That's important b/c Conte has an incredible record against AC Milan in home games and has an incredible record in home games altogether. With Spurs knowing they need to win this game, and having the home crowd support, I do see them getting it done, though I think it will be a lower scoring affair. My only hesitation, if I have one, is that Tottenham have bowed out at this juncture of the tournament too many times of late, but on the flip side, Milan hasn't advanced to the next stage in 11 years, so one team will be bucking that trend, and my money is on the home side Spurs.
That's it for today, I flirted with taking the over in the PSG/Munich game but will sit it out. Might do a fun parlay with PSG on money line but otherwise I feel confident with the plays above. As always, tail or fade, good luck to all..

I got PSG +290. Went up to +320 shortly after I took it. I hate going against my Bayern squad. But PSG is better off without Neymar at this point. He was causing a distraction. If Bayern comes out how they did the second half. They very well could see their champions league end tonight.

This is correct. Actually just happens to be that Neymar and Mbappe are my two favorite players but I think Neymar is misunderstood as a persona and that really affects his play. I know that sounds strange but when you think about it from a psychological perspective, with the two other world class players getting more attention, he then does things like go to poker games and parties for that added attention. Let's be real, they are ALL narcissists, maybe with Messi an exception. Add to that the poor showing by Brazil in the WC and the finalists being both France (Mbappe) and Argentina (Messi), and I can see how he feels "left out".
So yes, the team is better without him at this juncture (well he won't play at all this year which is I think based on some of what I wrote above) and PSG need to figure out what to do with Mbappe and Messi after this season. IF Neymar were to just play, and not worry about added attention, this team would be unbeatable. Hence having him OFF the field at this point is really a blessing in disguise for PSG and why I am so big on them today. That's NOT taken into account with the oddsmakers, only that he's not playing.

I made a wager several months ago on PSG finally getting over the hump winning this year. I didn’t expect them and Bayern to meet up so soon. It’s kind of unfair for a soccer fan to see 2 giants meet so soon.

What do you think of BTTS in this game? Seems almost enviable they will both score right? Hence the -200 price tag. But that is my favorite play here. Plus small ML parlay of Cuse, PSG and Wisconsin.

that is a strong play and you are correct hence the -200 price tag associated with it. I expect them both to score and you can get really good odds for PSG to get over 1.5 goals at + money which I personally really love.

The only thing that worries me about PSG ML is that it appears to be the value play like Dortmund yesterday and we saw how that finished. BOL on everyones plays today!

Well if this game ends 0-0 the +1 is good haha. Man surprised at how cautious and slow moving these teams are in the 1st half. Not sure if things are going to open up anytime soon but PSG is down 1-0 in the aggregate.

Vitinha shudve scored that didnt put enough pace on empty net.
Verratti and Hakimi have been terrible.
Hakimi keeps passing back when he has space down the flank. Verratti hasnt made any good passes and got dispossessed for the first goal. And theyre lucky a Bayern goal got disallowed for borderline offside before that.
Bayern’s midfield is better, PSG should be attacking quickly down the flanks.

Sadly this match is looking more and more like Dortmund yesterday. Come on PSG!

not a great day. Mbappe needs to get out of PSG. not sure where Messi disappeared to in the 2nd half. he too I imagine will leave. just not a cohesive team and they were exposed today. the last goal obviously was a crusher as I could have lived with a push. well, I will live regardless lol.
as for Tottenham, really poor showing. I guess the rain can be blamed for some of it but it always rains in London so that's not an excuse really. just bad overall play and the wide open goal miss for Vitinha in the 1st half of the PSG game was really their undoing. at this level you can't miss those opportunities.
that being said, apologies to all BUT will get it back tomorrow. weird seeing teams celebrate after a 0-0 tie just b/c they move on.
updated record: 19-7-4 ATS.
