Not much to play in next couple days so spending some time on the confederations cup.
Are higher scoring games becoming a trend in FIFA matches? I believe there were the most goals scored in the group stage in 14 WC than ever before. The total for all rounds was tied with the 98 cup.
Over 2.5 is 15-5 over the last 5 confederations cups during the first set/weekend of games. In the last 3 it is 11-1 during the first set/weekend of games. Group stage went 11-1 in 2013 semis 1-1 and finals 2-0 over 2.5. Would have been a nice wagon to ride. Now the stats were not as good in 09 going 8-6 for the tourney.
I was surprised to see Port over 2.5 +135. Port has been scoring goals like crazy. Averaging 3 per game in last 5. Mexico is averaging 1.8. 3U Port over 2.5 +135
Chile is +115 over 2.5. Don't know much about Cameroon but Colombia just scored 4 on them. Chile also has a strong squad and I think they win and hit the over themselves. Chile over 2.5 +115 3U
Germany is over 3 at +110. However, when playing Australia they tend to hit the over. Now we don't have a full WC squad for Germany but wouldn't be surprised to see Australia score once. I have Germany winning the game and may be a push on the over but worth a shot. Germany 3U over 3 +110
The only game I don't like the over is Russia. Neither the Russian or NZ score a lot of goals. However this is a must win for Russia. A draw or loss will make it very difficult to advance given they would most likely need to draw or beat both Portugal or Mexico. I don't see Port of Mexico losing to NZ. Russia -1.5 -110 3U. See a 2-0 win
Germany -1 -145 3U. This could be a push, I don't think they lose or draw but OZ isn't a push over.
Chile -160 3U. As mentioned above they brought a full squad and one of my favs to win the tournament. I think Romania just taught them a lesson and they don't come in soft.
Port +110 3U. Mexico doesn't cross the pond often to play footie. This is a different type of talent than the normally face and I think Port can out play them but it will be close one.
