Well not a done deal but it&#x2019;s a circus there right now. Garcia  set at the press conference after the game the reason why he played without Germain or Mitroglu up top (no forwards at all actually) was because neither had the mental strength to withstand what might happen at the Velodrome.  It was one of the most well Attended matches in a few months because people showed up to protest the performance of the team.  I&#x2019;m pretty  sure questioning your players mental capacities after a home draw versus the last place team is not the way forward.  I hope he still coach tomorrow so I can hammer les Verts

Ben the line has moved away from St. Etienne and I’m not sure why - Marseille is a very public team is my guess. This is about as big a play as I make. I’m really surprised Rudi still has a job - the fans are going to be out of their minds tonight as all fan bases are when Marseille comes to town.

St Etienne has played top teams away and bottom teams at home. Not easy to assess their real strenght, for me at least. They were no good vs Guingamp (still won thoough) but Marseille as Loose says for a long time is a mess...

St Etienne wins today and has a clear shot for CHL with this schedule if they are really strong team.

If they are not, again win vs this Marseille at those odds can't be bad

OOO sorry for the late response, the league I follow most closely is definitely Ligue 1 particularly Montpellier and Marseille. I suppose that would be a good strategy, I just don’t know enough about other leagues. This is also quite extreme. Everyone talks about PSG but the most fanatical supporters in France are those of the Phocéens...vs. Monaco as I talk d about the supporters showed up not the cheer but to jeer and shouted insults at the players all match long. I read there was a pretty heated altercation with Florent Thauvin after the match which just shows you how stupid fans are. He is by FAR their best and most consistent player, and hardest worker.

Garcia is obviously panicking and his press conference after this last match he just looked shaken. He’s benched all his forwards, another one has transferred. This last match has got to be just a huge gut punch. They took an early lead only to give up two goals in the second half with the winner coming in the 88th minute when Marseille had 6 men behind the ball...just a rocket of a goal.

They’re actually juiced against Caen this weekend and maybe they’ll win finally but I’ll play Caen at +.5 minutes ev right now and +330 to win.

the annual circus in Italy is being hosted this year in Milan (BOTH teams). ill save that for another thread.

hope you dont mind my coming in here; just thought its a good topic as bunch of friends & I were discussing this over the holidays. specifically the ManU situation and how having/not having a locker room can be extremely helpful when capping.

this is just one of many, but a beaut example of this out here is Chievo. still very much in cellar, but they couldnt stand playing for D'Anna; and then that idiot Ventura came along and made things worse till he simply left. they brought in DiCarlo whom was a former player and is beloved over there in Verona. 1st match in charge and draw Napoli in Naples (if not mistaken i think the prices were in the 700's for that) and a 5 game unbeaten streak ensued (on that list was Lazio, and Inter I believe too). if unfamiliar with Serie A, all of them are table-top and European participants this year. i remember HC backing them one of those games but was too scared those others.

proof positive of what locker room motivation and having a team behind you can do. unfair/silly to compare leagues but look at what ManU has done since they booted Mou.

and Im sure this angle is replayed countless amounts of times all over europe. like you referred to, just dont have the time/desire to do ALL that kind of research. so having a forum of 'eyes' with people whom follow various different leagues is really beneficial for those whom know how to use such an angle. of course, lines/prices also come into play eventually; but even still.

One side of this angle Id like to mention is ppl need to be careful to not just blindly fade/back a certain team. for Marseille youve been fading them for a while now so people should get a pretty good idea of whats going on over there. sometimes teams have a lengthy injury list. sometimes they just plain stink because of all the transfers (monaco is a good example for this one, am I right?). but when a club is pretty much intact - as Marseille is above, Chievo & ManU too - and not getting results, locker room harmony is usually the first thing which blows up. and if a coach doesnt have the locker room his job becomes 200x harder. one thing id love to learn more of is how is such scenarios are like in other places; in Italy it can be swift, fast, and before you know it the guillotine is coming down on a coaches neck.

its not a "100% guaranteed angle" but you can hit some pretty big payouts with it.

ive always felt this isnt just a "culture" thing, its a "human" thing and applies everywhere. dont want to step too far outside my area of knowledge but i wonder how much/often does this apply with other sports? hockey, basketball, football, baseball etc etc. do people play these angles blindly or is is a case-by-case thing.

This is a great game - Payet came out and imo that was a big FU to Garcia who benched him last game. We'll see but Caen really started to be dangerous towards he end of the half and unlucky not to have one. They've got to be feeling good, while Marseille aren't exactly screaming at each other yet, but it's close.

btw Spec - of course no problem chiming in always like to see your thoughts
