 7 consecutive all within 10 minutes. Strongest being 4.0 out near Ventura/LA county border. MIL just told us that the school she teaches at just got evacuated.

For that strong of a quake I’m surprised I didn’t feel it out here in the OC. Like you said though, sounded like it was a quick jolt but the amount of aftershocks right after is crazy.

Officials said the earthquake centered about 7.7 miles southwest of Westlake Village and 7.9 miles northwest of Malibu. The earthquake was originally reported as a 4.5-magnitude.

An aftershock of 3.0 was also reported in the immediate area.

The Los Angeles Fire Department urged Angelenos to prepare for more aftershocks.
