Iceman's Dumb soccer (and other sports) thread

So this system is a shout out to CoachPotato and his Dumb Soccer bets thread.  As some may know I did well on NVDA stock options and Coachpotato has an interesting system going on so I'm going to try and see if I can make this work.  I'm starting with $1000 bankroll.  This is separate from my regular plays.  The goal is to double the money by wagering very horrible odds, something I would never do but reading and seeing Coachpotato I figured why not give this a shot..see if there is some value in these horrid odds

Basically my stock options are with NVDA took them when they were sub $100 and usually do at least a month out when I feel it peaks I sell the options and rebuy at a higher strike price right now I have options that expire in 2 months at a $150 strike NVDA I feel is going to hit $200 by next spring 

The key is to stick with one or 2 stocks, make sure you take them at least one month expiry so time decay doesn't affect the option as much.  I sometimes take SPY that's a good one as well but it moves more.  Stay away from same day expiry that was the first lesson I learned

 I was looking at CouchPotato 100challenge myself today. Was thinking about “comp”points/free bets could add up fast at a higher limit. 

And plan your trade find out your entry and more importantly your exit point.  Stuck with CALL options I rarely use PUT options (meaning you think stock will drop).  When the stock goes up because one option controls 100 shares your going to see your account jump like crazy and your going to be tempted to ride it out.  Trust me all stocks drop and sometimes drop hard.  Look at NVDA and see how much that dropped, even when earnings were positive it dropped you can't control that.  Look at graphs I use Trading view it's free to use and has all the options I need to plan trades.  I always buy either at the money or close to the money calls, stay away from far out the money calls unless you have them expire at least 1 year away.

 It's an experiment.  I figured why not try I have been following his thread seems like he has a good run.  I don't recommend doing this though I have never bet terrible.odds like this but I figured let's see what happens my goal is to double it to $2k for now

We are going to do a safe parlay using the total gain so far because both Inter and Porto should win today

Phew! Refs in Inter game saved my parlay disallowing that late Venezia goal.

Goes to show that even heavy chalk like that can get screwed by a draw.

 Oh trust me these are not plays I would be doing on the regular this is just for fun using extra funds I have made from my investments that I can afford to lose if it doesnt work out, like I said I have been following Coachpotato's thread and his 100 high juice challenge seems to have been successful.  I do NOT recommend doing this as regular plays I am seeing if I can hit enough in a row without losing to hit $2,000.00 and then I may either stop or take out $1,000.00 and start again, depends on how this goes.  We got very close to losing yesterday with INTER so again, this just goes to show that this system is not recommended and definitely NOT for the weak at heart

Over halfway to my goal of $2,000.00.  Not bad for just starting this system late Saturday night.  Picking up pennies in front of a steamroller but at least I am avoiding the steamroller and picking up the pennies HA
