But real question is this what the fans what really? The risk seems to outweigh the rewards with this style. One mistake and you are already behind the 8 ball. Has any team in any of the major leagues won a championship with this style? I know Inter can play both offense and defense depending who they are playing but they have the talent and the budget for the talent. Thoughts?
From a couple friends who I have that were born and raised in Rome it would seem to me that Roma is comparable to the New York Yankees in terms of daily scrutiny on the manager. What are your thoughts on my question Marty regarding whether this style is one of the past.
Okay fair enough then let me follow this up with the following question... that style allows you to be competitive but does it give you a reasonable shot to win the Italian Serie A let alone a Championship League trophy? If not then really what is the point? Its how I feel about the NFL too. If you are not keeping up with the times and your ancient style just gets you an above .500 record and in the playoffs with no reasonable hope of really winning anything then what is the fricking point.
