Picks for 4/16

Here are my first ever picks in this forum; hoping for beginner's luck but not counting too much on it

Czech:

Slovan Liberec/ Banic Ostrava Ov 2.5 at -130

One side scores goals, more goals actually away than at home and the other is fighting relegation. Slovan is chasing Sparta Praha and needs to pick up two points and so should score and Banic would need to score to give a fight and hopefully anything over 2.5 should hit. Just a word of caution though: out of their last 7 seven h2h games only two have gone above 2 goals in aggregate.

Next game I am looking at is in France 1.

Stad Rennes vs Nice Ov 2 at -125

Both teams have been scoring lately and at least 2 goals can be expected and if we are lucky, a 3rd!! Now here is the thing, since 2005 Nice has not beaten Rennes at home in 7 tries. So if you can get Rennes pk (odds will be juiced) you can parlay it with some other ML favorite. I can only get Rennes at -1 and hence am passing. This league is a haven for draws and 1 goal wins so -1 might be risky.

^^ Thanks Bakemcbride Next play:France 2:Reims vs Nantes: Draw at &#x2B;216.Reims sucks away from home and has a strong penchant on drawing the away games. Nantes is decent. In the last 16 home games in different competitions, Nantes has scored at least one goal. Reims has scored at least one goal away from home 5 out of the last 7 times. It means that if you get a total of 2 (which I am not getting) you can take a chance at the OV as an insurance. As for me, I think I will make a small play on the draw with a score of 1-1 in mind. Reims is still fighting for promotion with Troyes and Clermont close at its heels so getting at least a point should be crucial for them.

Next play:A bit of a surprise maybe but I am going with Wigan &#x2B;1.5 EVWe are witnessing the last push from Wigan to save their spot in the EPL. Their performance over the last 6 games have been vastly improved. They beat Liverpool away from home, lost to Chelsea by one goal on a controversial call and beat Man U at home. The effort is clearly showing and I am going to ride with their good form and have a play on them. Even if they lose, I think they will still try to play a close game. Arsenal is their last big opponent of the season (sorry Newcastle fans) and they will try their heart out!!

Anyway--- going back to my plays:

Bundesliga 2: Fortuna Dusseldorf ML +105

FD needs to win to keep their promotion hopes alive. They have been a draw machine earlier in the season but since Sept/Oct they have not gone 3 away games without winning a game. They seemed to have recovered from their recent slump with a win at home. Hopefully they will get the job done tomorrow.

Adding:Getafe pk -106Getafe ML &#x2B;175OV 2.5 &#x2B;105Seville has not beaten Getafe at home in the last three tries. Getafe will want to bounce back after getting drubbed at Barcelona; they are a far better team at home and beat Valencia 3-1 a few weeks back as well and with Sevilla scoring goals too I am expecting the OV to hit as well.Fingers crossed!!!!!!
