Over 2? Can't get a good read or feel on this abortion....

It is a semi-final pairing nobody would have forecast at the start of the competition and the fact Cardiff are not facing one of the Premier League big boys is very much down to Palace heroics in the last round.

Tricky game, I can't touch it.

For me, I think Cardiff will meet Man. City at Wembly.

This game I'm thinking it's about a 40% chance of draw and 30/30 split for either team to win it, then Cardiff take the home leg. Could be a stand-offish type game with neither team wanting to lose moreso than either trying to win it.

Crystal Palace boss Dougie Freedman fears a sickness bug could disrupt his Carling Cup plans after he was forced to play a weakened team in the FA Cup at Derby. Freedman said: "Now we have to tread carefully over the next couple of days and try and stop the virus spreading, that's my main concern."

Cardiff manager Malky Mackay is expecting a tough tie against Crystal Palace, but admits that Wembley is at the back of everyone's minds. He said: "The boys are in good spirits and ready to go. We'll make sure we go there and give a good account of ourselves. I've not been in any capacity to Wembley before and it's something that's in the back of everyone's mind obviously. It's a great achievement for the Championship in general because of the nature of the competition and [the] amount of teams who have, certainly in the latter rounds, put out strong teams."

Cardiff City will have defender Kevin McNaughton available for their Carling Cup semi-final first leg at Crystal Palace on Tuesday. McNaughton has been suffering with a calf injury but has been declared fit for the tie at Selhurst Park.

Wish I knew the extent of this.... Could be The edge...

I just read that MacKay won't know exactly who he has to choose from until 5pm local time. Half the group trained on different paddocks.

Either way, I think the Cardiff - City final option is looking good.

Want to see if  Paddy McCarthy, Anthony Gardner, Nathaniel Clyne, Mile Jedinak and Sean Scannell are in the line-up. If they are not, then the Virus story was/is true......

Goalkeeper Julian Speroni, who has missed the last three games, has just about recovered from the bug but skipper Paddy McCarthy, fellow defenders Anthony Gardner and Nathaniel Clyne, midfielder Mile Jedinak and winger Sean Scannell remain doubts.

Boss Dougie Freedman fielded a much-changed side for the FA Cup defeat at Derby on Saturday so the likes of Wilfried Zaha, Darren Ambrose, Glenn Murray and Jermaine Easter are in line to return.

On-loan Doncaster full-back Mustapha Dumbuya, who made his Palace debut at the weekend, is cup-tied but centre-back John Egan, the recent signing from Sunderland, is eligible to play.

Cardiff are flying high just a couple of points off top spot in the Championship. No other outfit in the division has lost fewer games away from home.

Blah. I saw Cardiff  ML at +139. I stepped out for 15 minutes and it dropped to +129. Grabbed +129 at 1 unit. GL everyone
