My 10u play on Lokomotiv on Monday was a lifesaver. it was a do or die moment for my confidence. I think there are only 3 more weeks until the winter break so lets make it profitable. Last week Zenit was awarded a technical disqualification against Dinamo 0-3 because some idiot threw a firecracker at Dinamo goalies face. He suffered chemical burns and was having trouble seeing so they suspended the match. Hooliganism is a huge problem i witnessed it firsthand when a firecracker landed 3 seats away from me during a Zenit-Spartak match and burned some guys shirt. Russian soccer has a long way to go to be better and these idiots who come to the stadium and cause trouble are a huge part of the problem. alrighty then. on to this weeks matches:
Friday Rostov vs Mordovia Saransk Rostov has played better lately and Mordovia have been atrocious going pointless in their last 6 matches. match like this is a tossup but Rostov ML at -180 is no value. will be back with a final thought on this later.
Saturday Terek host Alaniya, a battle of the Caucusus region. Alaniya in a similar position to Mordovia, pointless in its last 5 and both sit at the bottom of the league. They have not won on the road all season and no victories in 12 matches. thinking over here at first glance.
Lokomotiv home against Krasnodar they should win and the over looks good also. That win against a fueding Krylya should have boosted their confidence also Krasnodar isnt that good on the road
Sunday Moskva Derby: Spartak play Dinamo in Luzhniki. Spartak let Barcalona pick them apart in the first half and i like the odds on them to win. Dinamo were awarded that win against Zenit because of what happened to their goalie. Moskva derbies tend to go over but with Eurocup games midweek it means no freshness likely. Ill keep an eye on this one.
Kuban take on a hapless Krylya team i think this one will draw. Krylya in crisis mode and have not gotten a point in 6 matches. no victory since a win on the road in Saransk 11 matches ago.
Monday Anzhi fly to Perm and take on Amkar. Anzhi did a good job today outplaying Udinese 2-0. Amkar might upset them here i think but Anzhi should win unless they get careless.
Rubin host Volga and this is a no-brainer. Rubin has been phenomenal offensively clicking on all cylinders with a good defensive backline. likely will play rubin with the spread and the over.
GAME OF THE WEEK: ZENIT vs. CSKA The Moskvichi come to Petrovskiy to play a bitter Zenit team. First the technical disqualification against Dinamo then Malaga made a fool of us at home. they got lucky they managed to save face and draw after being down 0-2. CSKA has played flawless futbol but Zenit must show the league leader they are still the defending champs. call me a homer but you already know ill be playing the siniy-beliy-golubiy at home in this spot.

i like kuban -1,1.5 as well. i don't think krylya has won in what seems like forever. i think the over might be difficult as i don't see krylya netting one here. just my .02.

grr i was so close to playing dinamo that score was a shocker. after last weeks match where dinamos goalie was hit in the face with the pyrotechnics the russian football authorities ruled that dinamo must play 1 match with no fans at the stadium whatsoever. zenits match against cska and its next home match will be the same played behind closed doors at an empty stadium as punishment for the sad incident

zenit line going up for now went up about 10points overnight. they need this game badly. unfortunately the fans will be denied the oppurtunity to see the match live. apparently the fan who threw the pyrotechnics was a female who smuggled it in her private parts lol

wow some pretty crazy scores today.. dinamo beat the crap out of spratak 5-1 and get Emery fired. at the press conference where the president of Spartak announced it, it was met with applause. i didnt think Emery was that bad, his systems take a while to get used to but Spartak has no interest in being patient. Then Kuban dismantled a pathetic krylya team 4-1 with krylya's only goal scored by a kuban defender lol. finishing up my thoughts on Mondays matches and will have them up soon
