Michael 'Mr. Armpits' Oliver and his musical instrument invades Villareal, Spain this evening. a match between Liga rivals whom really cant stand one another. and just a small sample, but theres been 30 cards handed out in the past 4 H2H's. without further ado:
Villareal/Valencia over 5.5 cards @-120.     

and while Im on this topic, again... similar to the UCL, i toss some on whomever is the "underdog" when UEFA pairs clubs from same league together. familiarity, familiarity, familiarity.

Arsenal/Napoli - got a future with Napoli winning the thing @700, need them to get into the semis to even consider hedging. and look whom is standing in my way? of course. 
I swear the Soccer Gods have a voodoo doll just ready to stick that needle in the second those letters 'a-r-s-e-n-a-l' pop up on my card. like a fire alarm goes off up there or something. anyways, from the Napoli side, this comp has been front & center in their lives ever since Scudetto hopes gone. healthy, rested, and Ancellotti is 'old-school'.  the 'over' looks tasty, but I really cant see either one taking chances too early leaving their backlines at risk as both sides have top-flight goalscorers.  might take a while for this one to get going.

Slavia/Chelsea - im starting to wonder if that trip to Anfield this weekend is on Chelseas minds. looks like Sarri might rotate a few players but even still, theres a lot of quality on that bench = to whomever Slavia sends out there. and the Czechs are an attacking side. though its at opposite ends of season, its still a little hard to ignore - Slavia were knocked out of the 2-legged UCL Qualifiers by Kiev; Chelsea destroyed Kiev 8-0 over 2 legs so perhaps that gap is a little bit larger than believed. in any case, I cant trust Sarri in 1st legs, though he is now employed in England it's still an 'italian thing' for me. BTTS + over 2.5 @+137

Benefica/Frankfurt - tho the Bunde having an 'off' year, the fact that Frankfurt are UNBEATEN since winter break. while at the SAME TIME holding down that 4th slot for CL Qualification next year, is pretty impressive. and theyve put up a cleansheet in 6 of their past 8 games. Benefica are no pushovers, in a dogfight with Porto for their league title and Portuguese squads (along with Liga) love this tourney.  but theyve been "regulars" in the UCL/UEL annually and havent scored more than a goal @home in over 2 years (17 games). so, I have to ride along with this, and since its the 1st leg things might be slow to start with.   Benefica/Frankfurt under 2.5 @+104

Copa Lib:
River Plate/Lima(Per) - bad spot for the Peruvians. simply because River needs the points after a 1 month chunk-blowing session which rivals Gremios. I remember watching the reverse fixture in Lima, ended in a 1-1 draw and River missed several chances.  River rested everyone over the wknd & these Peruvians are TERRIBLE travellers; havent won any of their Lib roadies the past few years and havent even scored (6 matches). these guys were thumped by Boca 5-0 in Groups last year so expecting a similar result.  prices juiced to the moon. so ill take the 1st half over 1.5 @+110,  and River -2.5 @+110

Flamengo(Bra)/San Jose(Bol) - Bolivians + on the road = end of discussion. 
Flamengo/San Jose over 3.5 @-105, 1st half over 1.5 @-102

Emelec(Ecu)/Lara(Ven) - my first thought was home side has no business being a juiced 250 vs anyone, seen them play a few and theyre offensively inept. heck, they havent even scored yet through 3 matches and are winless in 11 straight Copa games dating back two years. but then I realized, this is a Venezuelan team on the road. and Venezuelans + road are incompatible. in their 4 Lib roadies since last year theyve been outscored 10-0 conceding 2+ in each. should be a tight one, but Ecuadorians need this win as their final two games are on road. so Ill take the juice HC.  Emelec -1 @-133

elpr     napoli?  well, i got a future on them, so of course im hoping they can get a result here  though theyve shown some success in europa, keep in mind napoli hadnt won any of their UCL roadies the past 2 years. and Arsenal is more of an 'UCL-team' than an Europa team (by this i mean the quality on their roster)  and Ancellotti is 'Old School' he wont care about winning. 
im actually considering making a play on the 2nd half 'over' as he will definitely try to get the away goal if held scoreless. 

but then again... you shouldnt be asking me my opinions on a match involving Arsenal     (the voodoo doll is REAL)

Spec I'm usually a big fan, but those Benfica and Chelsea reads were very, very poor. Can't win em all. We'll get them tomorrow

Spec been on a bit of cooler myself the past week and a half just bad beat after bad beat. Decided to check in on your copa plays and just tail ya cuz I trust the insight. Sometimes you just have to switch the strategy up when you’re on a cooler lol. Glad I did. Really appreciate the posting as always man even though I’m not on here half as much these days

well, that was a strange day.  the Copa salvaged it for a small loss so cant complain:

Striker  the post was after the games were done.i give ya the benefit as uve been 'fair'; unlike that other idiot last week.  but on my behalf "poor read" on a match where there was a red card in the 20th (benefica). you know better than that. no worries though. but yeah, Chelsea? thats the thing with Europa, when you can elect to rest your best player/captain/goalscorer and get away with it in the Qtr-final rounds is a telling sign of the large gap which still exists between Tier I & Tier 2 leagues out here. ill put up Napoli comments in todays thread 
Break   that wasnt a missed PK.   that was a Field Goal.  you see where that ball ended up landing???   cazzo !! won both the Boca & River plays this week 20 seconds before the whistle blew to end.

need this stuff to settle down and grind, but judging from the card this wknd, looks like might have to wait till next week. as another 'ride' might be coming.

Striker....... for as long as ive been registered here. the one thing ive always noticed is if someone comes in with commetns like that AFTER a match is over.... theyre going to get run at.    im not a mind-reader, so whatever your intentions were should have been explained beforehand.    
we're all in this together to beat the books. but telling me the obvious... 'picks were poor'.  without any explanation as to WHY doesnt do me any good.  and it doesnt do you any good either. 

that 'salami'reference was uncalled for. but youve been taking potshots at other longstanding members through time as well. but like i said, i cut some slack cause Portugal squads is your 'thing'.     
got info to share? plays?    then put it up and share it. (preferably before the games are done).
