Just because they had chances doesn't mean they are all going up, so saying they "should" be up by 4 goals is ridiculous.  Yeah sure, if every chance "should"  be a goal the O/U would be 8.5.  

They are dominating the game, had several good chances and one of them went in.  Absolutely nothing out of the ordinary in a match like this.

Germany completely dominated this match. If you consider the scoring chances in the 1st half to be "ordinary" opportunities.......then we watched 2 different matches. It was a minor miracle that this was only a 1 goal score for Germany.

LOL....ok man.  Seen hundreds and hundreds of matches where a team dominates, has several chances and only manages 1 goal, sometimes none. Happens ALL THE TIME.  GTFO with it being a "miracle".

Germany did EXACTLY what they needed to, pressure NIR, get a goal, and hold the lead to win the group.  How many of those great scoring chances came AFTER they scored, compared to the ones that came before?

It was actually a great result for NIR, keeps them ahead of Albania and need to fade just one more 3rd place team to advance.


Listen, I understand, sucks if you had Germany -1.5 or -1.25, sucks to bet a fave and see chances to off the bar or wide.  Been there, done that. But there is a HUGE difference between COULD and SHOULD here.

You didn't answer my question though, how many of Germany's great chances to score came after they were up 1-0? (I used italics to emphasize this time, so you don't get butthurt again).  My point being, once they got that they were going to protect it, so it didn't mater a ton that they had 3-4 really good chances before they scored, once they did their emphasis was going to shift, because that's what they needed to do to win the group, which they did.
