before I start, just wanted to give condolences to Austria. doesnt this planet have enough problems as it is? - especially with Covid crisis - without having people with semi-automatics running around shooting up places?
and speaking of Covid........ FIGC/UEFA now investigating Lazio due to test results and we are now entering that 'ticky-tack' grey area of procedural policies which you just KNEW the road would eventually veer into that direction.
UCL Round 3: first of home & home. (everyone plays each other in next round too). cr*p value too, been a while since seeing soo much juice, half the juiced outrights are 250+. and will purely enjoy this from the viewing point. Yoro, very curious to see both the Serie A clubs and make a few parlays for fun & maybe hit one. going with my guts, made most of these plays over the wknd as well as the writeups. scr*w it, not changing my mind. Covid & all.
Serie A clubs first: Lizard-eyes night: watching two games at same time. Atalanta/Pool - ill be the first to admit, this is risky. still dont get this line tho, Klopps boys opening near evens in Bergamo w/out their leader in the back? ehhhhh. yeah, its a biggie but im just a little uncomfy with how much attention Atalanta giving this one; theyve been talking about it since last week. Gasp used all 5 subs and with just a 2-1 lead pulled his stars early in 2nd half over the wknd. and like last year when Pepe came for a visit, Atalanta kept talking about not playing scared and being in 'attack' mode, next thing you know Gasp had two deep-lying midfielders on the pitch. Im just not sure what Klopp will decide to do here and really skeptical of the 2.5 O/U being near 300s. if you want to talk about a coaches MO, Pre-Virgil? Pool ran their way to the final losing to Real. Post-Virgil? Pool won the whole thing but even more interesting is that Klopp really tightened it up back there on his roadies and has played extremely conservatively. 9 of the 12 roadies saw 3 or less, h*ll, the U2.5 hit 7 of the 12 games. Last year when Klopp came to Naples, Salah & Mane were 10 metres behind the midfield helping out as Pool just packed it in & played the counter-game. Pep did the SAME thing with City in their visit here playing 5 across the middle. both those matches finished low scoring (as well as the reverse fixture when Napoli went to Anfield). and with Virgil out, Klopp just might be thinking, the h*ll with it and bombs away. especially when they already have 6 pts. getting the draw would suit them just fine tho. not a popular play but it wasnt the past few years either. Atalanta/Pool under 2.5 @+220 as mentioned in yoros thread ystday, Atalantas 'learning curve" on how to break down a defense went thru the roof last year. many in these parts point to the 5-1 thumping City gave them. they came right back around and got a point in next match. instead of that bombs away, flood the wings and sending bodies forward theyve learned how to pick you apart, and can counter your counters. Pools cupboard isnt empty just cause Virgil isnt there, but this is a whole nother level of an opponent and simply worth a shot at these prices. Atalanta to win @+230
Real/Inter - firstly, have Inter pegged to win the Group; but that was based on them winning last weeks match. Inter w/out Luk, Real w/out half their backline. Id probably take a shot with Inter at these prices if Luk was in there but then again, if he WAS playing, they wouldnt be in the 300s to start with. both out of form but I highly doubt Real will drop two in Bernabeu during Group Stages. Conte starting Perisic up front with Lautaro and - again - basically 5 across the middle. hoping Inter can grab a point here. PASS.

Lokotimov/Atletico - got the 'w' last week backing the Russians on the HC vs Munich; if have the cajones to do it there then vs anyone else should be no problem ehh? (laughing). not so sure about it here though. Liga side in a good position, they did recently beat Salzburg so just getting a pt here on the road would ensure they remain in 2nd & doubt if Simeone is going to take any unnecessary chances either, he cant...... Atletico in the past 3 years has won just 2 of their 13 roadies in this thing. Lokotimov? its hard to gauge this squad, theyve played some big teams pretty tough at home. Juve & Munich only came away with 2-1 wins. Oddly enough, last year in this thing Simeones guys drew Juve and then came here and won 2-0. but that was an entirely different situation - not to mention 2 weeks between Rounds too - so will make a small play on Lokotimov +1 @+125
Shakhtar/Monch - in a way, it's amazing how little respect these Ukranians constantly receive. tho both opponents have their issues, beating Real in Bernabeu & holding Inter scoreless is impressive. yet, here they are mid-200s @home in a biggie. but they havent won a Group Stage match @home in 7 straight tries. Germans im not entirely sure of either, but theyve taken the game to both Real/Inter with high scoring draws so Id have to expect them to do the same here. the situation dictates a cautious match from two teams whom really dont/cant want to lose but smell goals here; after grabbing the leads in both previous games, Monch parked the bus and played behind the ball, and ended up conceding. decent price too, btts + over 2.5 @-109 tho im hoping this ends level.
Porto/Marseille - i hate these "obvious" plays, drives me ,cause nothing is "sure" in UCL. so the Portuguese side facing a team whom havent even found back of net yet and open with such a short price? not going too far in depth with this, its practically an auto-play anyways: fade French teams (not named PSG) on the road in this thing. theyre brutal. and if you want to get ticky-tack about it, Porto have won 7 straight @home vs French teams and are 14W-3D-0L in history. Porto to win @-115, Marseille TT O.5 @-115 - a 'gut' play. Porto has hosted a total of 16 home games since middle of last decade, they kept a cleansheet in just 4 of them.
City/Olympiakos - PASS. zero value. not to mention Ive given up trying to figure out City this year.
Midtj/Ajax - fyi, HALF of Ajax's roster failed testing over the weekend, but for the life of me i cannot find out exactly the names of the players - they have kept tight lipped about it. re-testing will be done on Mon/Tues. were they even allowed to practice/prep for this? probably best to wait for lineups. i still dont think the Danish side is a bad team; its just that the style they play.......they just ended up getting put into the worst possible Group pairing of anybody in this tourney (Atalanta/Ajax/Pool). 3 opponents whoms style is EXACTLY what they do.... only 5x better. prices are cr*p so ill just toss it into a parlay as I do think Midtj can find the net on Tuesday. PASS.

Salzburg/Bayern - this is/should be FUN one. the +1.5 looks tempting as h*ll but the difference between last week unlike Lokotimov, you dont/cant/shouldnt try to run with Bayern. and the Austrians dont know any other way of playing. people still remember their trip to Anfield last year, held Napoli to a point too in Naples (keeping in mind tho' they also LOST both those reverse fixtures @home), and gave Atletico all sorts of problems last week. But vs Munich? no thanks. PASS.

dropping my guard and 3 small plays for fun: Total Goals over 26 @+102 - (a shade above 3 per match?) i RARELY play these with the UCL. but this looks awful low. first of all, this is pretty much everybodys 5th match in 12-13 days. and not to mention a host of missings in squads backlines. and theres two games whom I can see offset any 0-0, 1-0 clunker which might pop up. and tho I did take a shot at the under, truth of the matter is - since Pool already has 6 pts - if Klopp simply decides to let his guys "go" and unleash his boys in Bergamo all I know is Atalanta will be MORE than happy to accomodate that style and could end up a barnburner. so theres your 3rd. giving me '+' money on a 26 for this card? OK, Ill bite. and will plunk a little more on that as well
Conmebol: I probably shouldnt be 'fading' a club with 'Italiano' in its name Bolivar(Bol)/Audax(Chi) - 2nd leg, Chileans with a 2-1 advantage. Bolivians season hasnt even started, and they havent won a match yet either. for the Chileans, the btts has hit in 6 straight. but this is the 'tried & true' mountaintop angle once again. 2nd half plays: Bolivar -1 @-112, over 2 goals @+106

Good luck spec, indeed I love pool to win tonight and take a shot on atalanta on the road, I know there’s a big game coming up for pool this weekend but atalanta always give me surprise on the road, just like Lyon
but yes pool have lost last 4 in Italy , let’s see and for inter game, not sure about the line movement especially with hazard back, but I still trust conte more than zidane, let’s see

yoro tks fer stopping by. yeah, I trust Conte MORE than I trust Gasperini. at least when Conte goes to the media he usually does what he says hes planning to do. Gasperini? not much 'negative' you/one can say about him, have had 3 years experience listening to him now, he has a PhD with 'mind-games' with media. says one thing and Atalanta goes out and does the exact opposite. agree with you on Pool, but 200s with Bergamo boys @home is decent value. Gasp shouldnt be focusing soo much on tonight though (just my opinion), stuff like that tends to find its way into opponents locker rooms. know what I mean? Klopp & Boys might be saying all the right things to the media but in private you just know they are thinking "you want us? well, here we are" i mean, cazzo! pulling everyone with just a 2-1 lead over the wknd? ehh we'll see. might get my head served back on a platter with those plays.

Yesterday the media told us Ajax will miss 11 players.. I’m from holland and an Ajax fan. These are mostly second string players. Onana Tadic and Gravenberch travelled aswell yesterday evening so they are allowed to play. Only “big” missing for Ajax could be Davy klaassen but that doesn’t distract me from the fact this is a must win for Ajax. They are superior to the danes in every aspect of the game and I think this game should easily end up something like 1-3.. Ajax did play well against Pool and should have atleast got a point. They ruined a 2-0 lead away Against Atalanta due A naive Gameplan in the second half. They kept going forward and no speed at the back killed them. You can’t play with a high defensive line with Blind and Schuurs my grandma is faster. Coach should have substituted Martinez in he played really well against Salah tbh.
anyways no real big missings for Ajax so I’m on the away win and also a play on BTS and over 2.5! Porto to win is a must for me too! Gl boys

senk firstly, thanks fer stopping by. and appreciate the info, its helpful. ya know, the line hasnt really moved all too much within europe. it took off, rightfully so, when news broke out regarding the failed tests. thing is/was that Ajax wer tight lipped about whom exactly. so books were unsure too. and there was a 2nd set of tests last nite/ this AM so apparently no major missings for the Dutch and its actually starting to creep back to the opening lines.
agree with you analysis, as I put above, I dont think Midtj is a bad team, but that style they employ for THIS group is suicidal. GL tonight

Best of luck today spec! Funny thing happened last night with my book. They posted olympiacos team total at o/u 2.5. By the time I was about to place my under 2.5 oly TT it was gone. They did however leave Man U to score first +365 up. Yes +365 lol.

quickly here. watching Monch hand Shak their butts. hoping the ukranians can find the net for that btts. satisfied with the goals tho.

Barca/Feren over 3.5 cards @-128 4.5 cards @+165 - "Mr. Armpits" (Michael) invades Camp Nou. he didnt get the call-up last week - when you hand out 5 before the whistle like he did in Munich 2 weeks ago, you are NOT going to get a good grade from the UEFA offices.so they give him the match w/out the spotlight.
GL to all (time to go watch and see if Serie A is over-rated or not )

I had a feeling I’d see you on Atalanta lol. Cant blame ya with the price. But I just don’t see an outright win here for them. I think the draw is very much in play. I like the under too. Tho, I will probably play the first half under instead. Think Poop comes out pretty cagey to see what Atalanta does. And I have a feeling they might do the same lol.
Guess the Ukrainians didn’t read my post pre game. Oops

I assume you meant Barca/Kyiv? Those Ukrainians are good for a bunch and anytime you pull down Messi at camp nou they call the national guard let alone a yellow card
sucks to get 6 in this shaktar match with only one side scoring :/

senk, nice calls with Ajax DTP, well done there with your guys. never mind the scoreline, that wasnt even close. Whiskey hope all is well with you and fam. guess my mind was still on Feren in previous post. thought this site had an edit feature. ehhh, yeah, like that saying goes "blow in Neymars ear? he falls sideways. blow in Messis ear? you'll get written up" Playaa

on to tmrw night

gab just posted it. ehhh, yeah, i guess you dont need the help its just become a 'mental thing with Torino (3 years and running actually). had a slow start but theyre back to 'normal' now. this and Bolognas streak of conceding should be on your 'auto-list' every Round till get knocked off the horse.

ended the evening nicely with the mountaintop.
