just tossing out what discussed for next weeks final round. a bit unorganized.
UCL Group Futures: we've done exteremly well this year, so uncork one for everybody. Im trying to go back to what my thought process was for taking Munichs TT Under. have literally swept everything tho. a few Pending:
Benefica to advance Milan to advance 3, and all 4 Serie A to advance PSG-City in final
we all have our plans for the wknd/holiday so tossing up thoughts. UCL?
Milan/Pool - remember, Milan can still get knocked out even if they beat Pool. one thing I guees you have in back pocket is Klopp cant stand Diego. Im clueless what Klopp might do. he might send the 'B' squad, but you have to wonder if the pressure going to get to Piolis side. and I really like that point, past two years Covid wrecked lineups, rosters, and planning for everyone; and a silver lining to it is that a LOT of those big-boy clubs benches got a chance to put in "QUALITY" minutes in meaningful matches (either domestic or european). so the cohesion, and lack of playing time isnt there as much as pre-Covid. so Id try to avoid that thought process in thinking Milan will simply destroy Pools bench. let me throw this thought out there, of course motivation will be different, but you think Pools bench any worse than Fior or Sass? cause both just banged in 3+ vs Piolis backline. I might not be as knowledgeable as others with the EPL but you guys know you simply dont hold down CL spots year-in & year-out up there w/out bench depth. whether they are motivated or not, this isnt going to be easy for Milano guys. hope can get to see some of it.
for Porto/Atletico, If Milan grabs the lead vs Pool all sorts of sorts going to break loose in Portugal. that brick wall is gone back there for Diego, i think their only cleansheet on the road in this thing the past 2-3 years was up in Austria. so why the line sitting at '+' still is beyond me. before the whistle blows, Diego HAS to win this, if Milan takes lead? they have to better the goal difference (if it comes to that); but also, Porto will be pushing forward as well. in-game might be worth the while but i dont touch that stuff. heres to hoping Piolis lads grab an early lead, cause then BOTH cant sit back, Porto/Madrid O2.5 @+120. you still have to convert your chances. If Pool grabs an early lead? everything typed above most likely go opposite.

Atalanta/Villareal - Villareal just needs a point, theyll play 11 behind the ball. because of this, thats a ton of juice for the over. or perhaps books know Atalanta cant bloody hold a lead!!! they have just 1 win in Group Stage......... yet have held the lead in ALL 5 matches. cazzo!!!! (end of discussion) tossed some on the 2nd half O1.5 @-122 cause this one has a pretty good chance for turning upside down too. NOTE: if Milan pull a rabbit out of their butts Im hedging that other future and hammer the 1/2 with the Liga side.
Benefica/Kiev - Benefica to win 1st half @-123 - they MUST win. and I seriously doubt theyll want to wait too long.
(stealing a writeup. not my thoughts) Bayern/Barca - (off topic) its early, but those opening prices on Bayern stinks to the high heavens. they havent played a "meaningful" 6th Rounder since god knows when. and even with a rotated lineup (Lew hasnt even dressed up for the last few years), when at home? theres always massive juice attached. heres their previous 5 years worth of 6th Round "who cares" matches: Bayern - Atletico 1-0 Bayern - PSG 3-1 Ajax - Bayern 3-3 Bayern - Tottenham 3-1 Bayern - Lokotimov 2-0 so now theyre facing a Messi-less Barca, the same team they just blew away in Camp Nou eariler winning posession - in Camp Nou?? - and out shot 17-5. and theyre going off near evens @Allianz? if Benefica wins?... not even a point will help Barca, theyll need all 3 in Allianz. EDIT: im in. Bayern to win @-130
UEL: Sociedad/PSV - with Sociedad finaly "hitting the wall", got to like the Dutch sides chances of securing advancement. PSV +1/2 @+102
Group C: Napoli/Leicester - probably last minute. with the Foxes sitting mid-table up there, just dont have enough info of their motivation. PASS.
Legia won in Moscow, so what theyre doing in the 200s is strange. PASS for now. but most likely toss some on the home side here.
Lazio/Galat - with their Serie A form slipping im having hard time seeing them/Sarri care about this. theyre already through anyways. PASS.
Group F: Lud/Midtj - tho its on road, got to love these prices on the Dane side. a win and theyre through. Midtj to win @-125
Group H: with the Croatians visiting London; tho they dont earn the tiebreaker you have to like Genks chances of grabbing the 'w' (or at very least grabbing an early lead by the half) juice is kind of low for an opponent theyve already beaten in Austria. motivation is a big ??? tho, for a club stuck in mid-table domestically. tossed some on Genk -1 @+140, simply cause I dont like juice without knowing motivation.

Have to assume City completely rotates with nothing to play for, even though they’re still high level players, but have to fancy Leipzig getting a half a goal with a new manager and Euro still to play for? I’d think they’d send out a strong side in front of their home fans

UEL: as always, my achilles heel. PSV +1/2 @+102 (L) Midtj to win @-125 (L) Napoli to win @+120 (W) Genk -1 @+140 (L)
missed all of Tues and most Wed. well, at least live. did watch some of the Milano/Pool replay tho. im old school, from a time where if you could walk then you can play. of course schedules werent as crammed as back then, and there were fewer teams; yet still ..... hats off to Pool, City, Bayern, PSG. couldnt help but notice all the big guns out there in starting lineups. coaches risked injury and screwing up domestic season for meaningless matches. stuff that always gets lost in the media until something bad happens. ehh.
Origi (Pool) pulled a "Benzema" on us. hosed a sweet sandwich play with that injjury timer last wknd and then again getting the winner on Tuesday. the golden pitchfork gets put you-know-where.
Ganda, not only that. place is lit up better than an airport runway. Buck, not really a write up but info shared amongst lifelong friends in our little fantasy league group. helping out instead of tearing down, and never complain (even during chunk blowing sessions) losses are expected, learning from them are even more of value. alfha Whisk, hope all is well with self/fam, and thanks for stopping in. wasnt able to get a reply in but did mention a little above. I-got, that was a 'goner' when Kjaer went down for the season 5 minutes into Milans previous game. (i had writeup typed before that actually). he had surgery last week. and AC's season is unraveling quickly. Pioli going to earn his paycheck this year for sure. Lego, firstly, hope all is well and good to see you. Happy holiday season as well for all your loved ones. Im going to call this out, Gasperini will get sacked come seasons end if they dont challenge for Scudetto, good-but-not-quite-good-enough yet again for the 3rd year. Spaniards were the far-better team last Thurs.
