thanks
Both of these teams have a better shot at shuttin out the other and scoring a 2nd goal than "having' to have them both score IMO
Spain has scored in every game since their opening loss (any team is allowed to start the tournament slowly) AND their last 2 opponents have been especially defensive minded in tactics, where that is not Germany's style (Germany doesnt keep 8-9 men behind the ball when they dont have possession), plus Torres is rumoured not to start, so his poor form shouldn't be there to drag down the Spanish O from the start for once.
and Germany hasnt failed to score in a game in which it finished with 11 men on the field, not to mention they are the highest scoring team in the Cup.
Team with fewest goals of all 4 teams in semifinals meets the team that did shut out Argentina ..... i don't see Spain score a single goal.
Spain scored 4 goals in the group stage, thats just 1 less than Germany scored. As for their lack of scoring in the knockouts, they "drew the short straw" and got to face consecutively the 2 most defensively minded teams to make the knockout stage (Port & Para). I'm afraid to look at their offensive showings against those 2 opponents and conclude on the basis of it they wont score at all here is frankly flawed thinking from my pov - Germany isnt Paraguay or Portugal.

You just made the perfect argument to bet both teams to score. Noone in their right mind could back either team to not score in this game. Germany is the tourney's top scoring team and hasnt failed to score in a game in which they finished with 11 men on the field, and Spain found a way to score in knockout matches against 2 teams who had combined to concede just 1 goal in 7 previous games - that's an attack that has to be respected, even thou it hasn't been as spectacular as Germany's has.
And of course making this bet makes no commitment on needing either team to win in 90 mins. The perfect final-result-fence-sitter that still is based on solid facts.
IMHO, win or lose, this is THE BET for this game, because I don't see how anyone can make a case for either team not scoring in this match, and it's at decent odds. noone should be paying anywhere near through the nose for the yes to this option.

this is not Euro 08 - then Germany had 10 goals in 5 matches before meeting Spain, here they have 13 goals in 5 matches before meeting Spain. Furthermore then they were meeting in a final, here is not a final - finals often have the effect of freezing attacks, where semi-finals do not - did Holland slow down when they got up 1-0? when they got up 2-1? why should it be any different here? Noone has slowed this German attack when it hasnt been subject to a red card, and if Spain couldnt keep the hopeless attack of Switzerland from scoring, why would they do so against the best attack in the competition'? Spain's last 2 clean sheets have come against teams who had extremely defensive mindsets in action, mindsets which made a dodgy looking Spanish backline look much better than they are in reality.
lastly, if you dont see it, then put your money where your mouth is and back the No to the will both teams score? option. Anyone convinced 1 of these 2 teams doesnt score is better off taking that option than the under, since breakout goals against a trailing team taking defensive risks can always result in a 3-0 final (much like the way the German game played out vs Argentina).
