I was just wondering if you guys sent out my hat, its been over a cpl months now. Cheers
Hey Uncle_Flappy,
When did you win the prize? Hit the guys up at contests@coversmedia.com with an email and they will get back right away with the status of your hat. We did just send our order for December so it could well be on that.

It looks like you provivded a PO Box as an address. We do not send prizes to P.O Box addresses but if you get back with a full address they will get it resent to you.

I cant believe people want the crappy hat prize. 9 in a row should be $100 or even 25-50. I got 5 hats and hate all of them. cheap terrible prize I would never wear it and surely would never ask for another to be sent. the hat has changed over the years but it is still craptacular and not even fit for a donation in a red box.

they could give out a team hat of winners choice if a prize like a hat must be given out. at least then you could get different ones. but a cheap hat with covers across the top is a hat I will never wear or want.

Gotta agree with Booyahz here on the cheap hat issue. I think perhaps offering other prizes such as a $25 free credit to use at any of the sportsbooks that are associated with Covers (No strings attached such as rollovers, etc. come on guys, it's difficult enough to get to 9) or even a free "pick of the day" package from your covers "experts" (who btw I do NOT appreciate random and unsolicited calls from your touts).

If you are not from Canada or USA you can't receive hats and hoodies but you are eligible for cash prizes. It's my case too.

What are these random and unsolicited call you have mentioned? Covers Experts do not make any of these types of calls.
Rizz,
Rizz,
I don't recall but it was a Vegas number and I've had resumes out there in the past so I picked up after a few missed calls and the rep. on the other end claimed to be from Covers and were offering a special package and tried a hard sell but thankfully when she went to "transfer" me over to the sales line it went dead.
However, I've received several more calls from the same area code and area of Vegas. It's been a while and I don't answer these calls, but if I see it again I'll answer and see if they're using the same scheme.
I have used one of the experts before from covers, perhaps it was from them. I'm pretty sure they used Covers.com as a way to try to sell their picks. Again, not certain about it b/c this happened a few months back.

Firstly the Covers Experts Customer Service department is located in Ireland, so if theyu somehow found a way to mask their phone number and put on an impressive Vegas accent I doubt it was them
Secondly they do not cold call anyone when it comes to Sales. The only time they make calls is when they are replying to a voicemail or an email requesting that someone contact them.
Clearly whoever iscalling you is a scammer, my advice would be not to answer their calls but saying that, if you do decide to answer I would be interested to know what BS they are saying.

As the guys confirmed you are eligible for cash prizes should you win one. However only contestants who have adresses in the US and Canada can receive Hats or Hoodies.
If you have an address of a friend or relative in the us that you would like us to send a prize to please let us know and we would gladly deliver it there.

Oh Rizz it's a beauty...I guess my number was sold somewhere along the way I know they're scamming touts. I had another LV area code this morning and ignored it as they been floating in past few days. This time i picked up a 1-800 number for some sportsbook forget the name didn't care. But the hook was that I had 100$ free money (made it sound as no strings attached, I kept saying not interested take me off list, he keeps pushing saying it's free money for anything on the site). Also asks if I'm an online poker player. person wouldn't take no for an answer. Just gave him a throwaway email acct. so "i could make up my mind later (never)."
