Sad,sad news. Also terrible on a greater scale was the tragic bombing and shootings in Oslo, Norway. God bless everyone affected by these events. We are living in some dark times.
Yes I am remiss about not mentioning this horrible tragedy. The worst part, this nut bag is smiling and thinking he has done Norway a favor. He is no different than the Islamic Fascist trying to replay the Crusades. Those wars were fought 700 years ago and none of these idiots can let it go. People looking for the world to be exactly like them whether they are Christian, Muslim, Hindu or whatever race or religion need to do us all a favor and take one of these private Rocketships to another planet. Earth always has been and always will be diversed in every way especially religious. My concern now is that apparently in Norway this nut bag can only get 21 years. Amazing. My heart and prayers go to those families who have suffered such a devastating loss in a otherwise peaceful country.

On a lighter note I have decided to ride with the Reds tonight as they attempt to win 3 straight over the resurgent Mets. Bama and I have twin streaks going of W2. Lets ride Bama and catch that train to Captown! Good Luck to everyone tonight!

Sad breaking news to report. Singer Amy Winehouse has been found dead in London. What a tragedy. She was extremely talented but couldn't shake the demons of drugs. She died at the age of 27. It is downright spooky the number of celebs that die at the age of 27. Look it up and it will send chills down your spine. The list is long and covers all areas of show business. Musicians tend to be hit very hard with this curse. RIP Amy Winehouse I hope you find the love you were searching for in the next world.
I have seen what hard drugs can do to a person...its not pretty....its just seems worse when its someone with talent.....

Like Getrdonrite said, I hate starting over! Tough luck for us, Smooth! We both lost our streaks. I lost mine in the bottom of the ninth. For today I am going once more with the Angels. Why not return to the scene of the crime? This time the Halo's will be bringing American League All-Star starting pitcher Jered Weaver into the fray. 'Nuff said, in my opinion! LA ANGELS OF ANAHEIM -130 Best of luck to everyone this evening!

I agree with you on both points, Booyahz. Smooth spoke true, as well. Also, on the drugs topic, it is ironic that the most talented among us are often the most tortured. Sadly, so-called "regular" people succumb to their addictions every day and often pass unnoticed.

I really need to get a long streak going. I haven't anything over 5 in 3 months and I'm getting impatient. So today I embark on a journey to reach Captown. I start this journey with Lincecum and the Giants. After meeting the President the Giants should be ready to take down the Phillies. On SFTC this is so within reach its tearing me apart. I will try 1 more time to catch the leader who is only at 19. With a little luck this can be done. I was hot on BTS for the first 2 months of the season. But since Junes I can't get past 5 on that either. Probably because I have been paying more attention to the other streaks. Good luck to everyone tonight!

I heard Lincecum is not going tonight so I've taken the Phillies. If you haven't made a pick yet, take the Phillies before they go off the board, they are currently -115 but may zoom to -180 or -190.

Hey, Booyahz. I have a posting 101 question for you or anyone that knows how to do it. How do you make your posts have neat paragraphs? In other words, how do you form a paragraph and then skip down a couple of lines and have the next paragraph start neatly at the left of the page? Whenever I attempt this, my finished posts look nothing like what I see on my screen before I hit submit. The above post was supposed to be in three neat blocks; all beginning at the left of the page. As you can see, it was an EPIC FAIL. lol. Thanks.

Hello there, Quad! Good info, my man. Barry Zito (3-2, 4.78 ERA) is going to get the nod tonight for the Giants. I f you have no pick, then jump hard with both feet! Do it now!I know Smooth is out there somewhere furiously pumping his fists and screaming "WHY!". Of all the low-down dirty rotten...We'll just have to hope for the best!

Please disregard the post quoted above. The answer is simple. I just remembered how you use a typewriter and hit return to end the line. On a computer, enter = return. Problem solved. Thanks.
So the earlier post should have read:

I got screwed at the post. Substituting Lincecum for Zito is like Haile Berry being substituted for Susan Boyle at the last minute. No disrespect to Susan Boyle fans but I think you understand...great voice but not someone I'm spending Saturday night with. Anyways I should have checked in earlier and I would have seen the warning from Bama and I could have placed a bet on the Phils on Bodog. But alas I'm stuck with Zito. As I post this Zito has given up 5 runs and it's 5-1 Phils. I guess I will have to wait to start my epic streak! Meanwhile on SFTC I'm 2-0 today on European Soccer and going for W3 on WNBA. 1 last push for the $50K.

I like to use the different contest together and I've noticed on sportsparlor.com when the contest is for 10 in a row, 15 and 20 the dogs win straight up more than they lose and when they play for the jersey its more of a combination of dogs and favorites
I have been taking the dogs straight up and with the points so I can get 2 right with one win
something to look at and compare when making picks here and on SFTC
and sports parlor doesnt have the dodgers game........looks like a good pick on SFTC

Very interesting. I am with you on the Dodgers tonight on SFTC. There is simply no way that I could pass up that much juice! I'm thirsty! Good luck on Win #9!
Quad's W3 is also riding on the Dodgers, as well as my measly W2.
I see that Smooth chose to sit this one out. GO DODGERS!

LA ANGELS OF ANAHEIM -130 = W1! I thought Jordan Walden was going to blow it again like he did last night, but he came through for us Halo's backers! A dramatic 2-1 finish!
