I might not post for a few days .......I feel burned out
Im not picking smart and I am wasting winning picks by not playing them...........
lost my w5 on SFTC by taking the over in the CFL when my sheet says under is the play with CFL on SFTC......
why did I do that?
We support you Booyahz. Take a couple of days off. That can definitely be helpful. I will remind everyone what Crushalot said. Stats are good but sometimes we just have to go with our gut.

Well I think I just needed a good nights sleep
went to bed early and slept in and feel much better
gambling has always been a hobby of mine and the past 6 months I have been trying to find my own trends and angles and the past month I have been recording all the outcomes and have them organized in a way to let the trends speak for themselves ......sometimes they speak and sometimes they dont....lol
when I start picking dyslexic I know I need sleep
yesterday I wanted either under in CFL or over in WNBA and still picked the over in the CFL.....lol at least it was on a free contest
A good dog today is the royals on the moneyline
While I never bet real money on preseason football these are the rules to follow:
1. Handicap preseason far differently than regular season
2. Beware of coaches that do not care
3. Look for coaches who want to win
4. look for teams that want to blitz often
5. follow the qb rotations
I like Pitt today they fit these rules
and the tie option on golf on SFTC is now 13-3 with the 3 losses on the 2nd golf prop of the day
Im going back to getting some rest....GL Streakers I really like this board and group want to see all of us win some money
the dog of the day angle Im looking at SAS at home to Calgary in the CFL

In the spirit of Crushalot who says sometimes you gotta go with your gut. I'm going with SF today simply because I think the Giants truly don't like the Marlins. Words have been flying through the media between the 2 teams. The Giants still don't like what happen to Posey. Florida has lost 7 games in a row. The Giants have been in a long slump and find themselves in 2nd place. I say the Giants get well against the Marlins and possibly sweep them.

Smoothd's Cappers special. Take the Indians with Masterson on the mound against that bum Pavano. Yes I have a personal vendetta against Pavano. The Yankees signed that bum for what $60-$70 Million dollars for 4 years. That bum pitched something like 50+ innings. He should be arrested for impersonating a pitcher. But at any rate, I try to leave my personal feelings out of my bets. But this is an added bonus that he's pitching. Time to cash in $25 Dime Club. Cleveland for the win. Bet it on your sportsbook and take it on SFTC.

I'm taking the Over 32.5 on the Buccaneers and Chiefs game. I have no real logic but I believe that both teams will put up some points.Only at 1 on survivor so why not if I feel good about it. I did read smooth's post and I understand it's preseason.

I'm going with the over 33 in the miami/atl game. 4 of the 5 games yesterday hit the over with the only one not to being the ravens/eagles who are both built for defense seeing as the 1st team for the eagles played 1 series. And last year the over in the preseason hit 11 or 17 times in the 1st week. I don't think teams like to play great defense in these games and teams take more chances (as evident in dallas going for 2 last night).

Ha! I am so glad to see you back and refreshed, man. I just now got on here today to catch up and started scrolling through the posts. When I saw you say you were burned out and not posting I got bummed out. I srolled more and saw that you had returned I was relieved.
It is ironic that you got some decent rest and now feel better, because that is exactly what I was going to suggest. If you will remember, I recently felt exactly the same way as you and I contemplated retirement. lol. Sleep was the magical formula to get back. I had been burning the midnight oil too many times and the lack of sleep made me feel cranky and also served to cloud my judgement resulting in some bad picks.
My new motto is: "Gamble for Life! " Not: "Live to Gamble!" We can actually think about our picks too much and sometimes we need to just take a step back and then look at them again from a fresh perspective.
Keep up the experiments, Dr. Booyahz and remember that we are all in your corner.
Good luck!

Good luck on this, Quad! Totals are the way to go in the Preseason. You will be fine if you just follow your gut.

This is not as cut and dried as I would like it to be, Smooth. I understand your animosity towards Pavano and I agree. I also remember the last time that you faded him he pitched like freaking Cy Young!
I agree with you that Cleveland will win this game tonight, but I am just playing Devil's Advocate here. There are three things that concern me about CLE: 1.) Carl Pavano owns a 3-2 record in 7 starts vs. Minny with a 2.72 ERA. He is laso coming off of a performance where he shut down the ChiSox for 8 innings and only allowed 1 run in the 6-1 victory.
2.) Justin Masterson is winless in his career against the Twins. He is an uninspiring 0-4 against them lifetime for a 3.77 ERA. Also factor in that he is coming off short rest having pitched recently in a rain shortened outing.
3.) Justin Morneau returns to the Twins lineup and is is 6 for 15 with a homer and two doubles off of Masterson in his career. This factor could be somewhat offset, however, by Cleveland possibly getting back Shin-Soo Choo for this tilt.
That being said, good luck and go Cleveland!

Sticking with the theme, it is now time for my gut play! I know it will be controversial and there is plenty not to like about it, but a gut play is just that. A gut play! I considered not posting it, because I did not everyone to LTAO at it, but here it is:
LA ANGELS +122
I simply feel that the wrong team is favored here and the line movement since I locked it in supports this. The line has shifted 10 points towards the Angels, taking away some of their dog value. LA is now +112 as I post this.
Ervin Santana is on of if not the hottest pitcher in the Majors right now. His Angels are 8-1 in his last 9 starts and his WHIP is shrinking with every outing. Santana is 5-0 with a 1.57 ERA over his last eight starts, has a 0.79
ERA in winning his past four, and he's struck out 24 over his last three
beginning with his no-hitter July 27 at Cleveland. He has posted a 2.32 ERA in winning all four starts against the Blue Jays the previous two seasons before yielding three runs over eight innings in a 3-2 loss April 8. Bautista was the difference in the loss. Bautista has cooled since then.
On the hill for the Blue Jays, things are not so rosy with Brandan Morrow set to toe. Trends are not on Morrow's side in Friday's matchup. The 26-year-old
Californian has never beaten the Angels, going 0-2 with a 5.00 ERA in 15
appearances (two starts). Morrow has also been abysmal at home so far
this season, posting a 4-5 mark with a 5.95 ERA in 11 starts. He
struggled last time out, charged with six runs over 7 2/3 innings as
Toronto fell 6-2 to Baltimore.
I also believe that the advantage is with the Angels on the bullpen. The Angels gave the Yanks a good series and took game one in the Bronx, and I think they go into the Rogers Centre and take game on here as well.
If this pick loses I will retire from SFTC and Streak Survivor Forever!

While inputting the games for tonight I noticed something I have seen before but never really put much thought to
Tampa(+2.5)(-143) at Chiefs(-2.5)(+129)
Pitt(-1.5)(+114) at WAS (+1.5)(-125)
this is from sportsparlor.......notice whats wrong with these 2 lines
Tampa is a dog but favored on the moneyline
PITT is a favorite but a dog on the moneyline
both these games are on SFTC
something to keep an eye on might be helpful with future lines like this
I knew I seen this look before....wish I would of seen it before I locked in on Pitt would of avoided
at _143 they are saying Tampa is gonna beat Kc at KC and the tip off is the +2.5
Ive seen this with other sports with them ......Im gonna keep track of it from now on because you dont see it everday....I'll be looking for it tomorrow before I pick anything
Our group Streaks(except for mine.....lol) are looking great!!!!!
GL keep it up

Hopefully getting my W10 tonight with the Rangers, which looks all but locked up at this point with them up 9-0 in the 5th.
Now that I'm at W10(hopefully) I'm going to start really studying my picks before I make them & if I don't see anything I like that day I'll just wait, because up until now I've been picking everyday.
Really hoping that I can at least get to W13 for that hoodie, has anyone her received one, and if so are they nice or cheap?

We have a legion of members that have gone through Hoodville on their way to Thousand Dollar City! Our latest is Crushalot who was on his way to 25 Dimetown before being hijacked. Now we have an associate, a friend of Bama's who is 1 win away from 25 Dimetown. So yes to answer your question our members go through Hoodville on a regular basis. We are there so often they have sign that says "WELCOME BACK 25 DIME CLUB" We consider Hoodville our home away from home.

WOW WE WILL CALL THIS GUT CHECK FRIDAY! THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT CRUSHALOT HAS LEFT AN INDELIBLE IMPRESSION ON HIS CLUB. SUDDENLY EVERYBODY GOING OFF THEIR GUT AND WE'RE WINNING!
I hope we keep this going. Personally I'm very happy to profit off of Pavano. Bama I understood your analysis and it was spot on. This bum has pitched some gems since leaving NY which makes me and every Yankee fan hate him more. Basically we view him as a fraud an utter fraud. So yeah it's personal with Pavano. The only way he can get forgiveness is to give the money back. LOL like that will ever happen. It will be a cold day in hell before athletes start giving money back so I know I'm dreaming. At any rate I digress. This has been a sweet day even though the Giants couldn't pull it off. I'm hot on every streak except here on Survivor. I'm even hot on Bodog now. So let's keep this party going boys. There is more than 1 way to catch that train.
