Serious Streak Survivor Strategies

Good day guys haven’t posted in a while but seeing Lionsfan at 20 streak is very impressive. Would love to hear different angles on today games. Anyone have a good game to bet on today and why?

Let this be a lesson guys that when you get a big streak pay close attention to the spreads with the books. Lionsfan picked Phx-Mil over 233 when most Books have it as 226-226.5. Why he would pick a game to go over 5 points from the posted Totals at Books is very puzzling to me. I think he was rushed and felt the pressure to make a pick. That's why sometimes waiting isn't good.

He did it! Lionsfan just hit the Jackpot! Amazing that it hit he needed OT to do it but he's won the $25K. Now he can set his sights on the Big money.

 Anyone know what the odds are to flip 21 heads in 21 coin tosses?  I just want to say that this 21 game streak is like the poker player who wins the wsop,  they play very good and they win the coinflips.  Sorry Smoothhd20 I did not know that I was posting my diatribe to you, this is to the question od the forum is luck involved....

Always bet against the basketball team on their finally game of a 4th straight road game. It has worked 6 times in a row so far. 

I think if you pick the team and the team wins you'll start a pretty serious streak

I follow the movement of the offered odds in all online bookmakers. They themselves are issued where the sporting event itself is directed as a final outcome..

Michael2020 has an incredible streak going of W17. What makes his streak truly special is that he's pick 17 straight Overs in MLB. Now that's impressive. Tonight he's going with the Balt-Tor Over 10.

I'm going with St. Louis today for my W4. I've been holding down 1st Place in Greeneyedevils Baseball pool for awhile now. One of the angles I'm using is picking low spread favorites. So in other words St. Louis is -118 against the Tigers. Now granted the Tigers have been playing well as of late but St. Louis is the better team. I'm also going with the White Sox and Phillies in his pool. 

I have some openings in two Football leagues. One of them I'm the commish of, the other one I'm not. These are long standing leagues. If anyone is interested in joining established Fantasy Football Leagues let me know. Thanks.

DOG is a beast!! Even though his best streak is "Only" 12 he should be recognized as one of the best cappers here. With a record of 3945-3390 (53.78%) those are numbers few sports bettors accomplish. I'm rooting and tailing him on his current streak. Hope he makes 25. 

CFL ACTION

I have been remiss in not posting about my annual CFL Angle. Some of you OG's know that I've made a killing over the years betting CFL Unders. I'm already 2-0 on this angle on Survivor and 4-0 wagering real money. I will post my next Under CFL bet that I see that's a decent one when one comes up. I tend to forget about the CFL when the NFL starts but make no mistake, there's plenty of coin to be made North of the Border.

 Each coin flip has a .5 chance of coming up heads. So the probability of doing it 21 times in a row is .5 x .5 x.5 etc. I'm sure there's an easier formula than multiplying it all out, like involving factorials or something, but if you've got time to handicap you should have time to multiply 2 x 2 x 2...until you have done it 21 times. The odds are 1/whatever the result is of multiplying 2 x2 x2 etc.

 After I posted it was going through my head. It's not called a factorial, it's called an exponent. So what I described, multiplying 2 by itself 21 times, is 2 to the power of 21. It would be written as 2 with a 21 after it and a half line up. Here is an explanation of 2 to the 17th power: https://exponentiations.com/2-to-the-17th-power. The quick answer: 2 to the 17th power is 131,072. So the odds of getting 17 coin flips in a row correct are 1 in 131,072. The odds of getting 25 coin flips in a row correct are 1 in 33,554,432. 

Someone who already has, say, 19 correct picks of a coin flip in a row doesn't have to beat 1 in 33,554,432 odds to end up getting 25 in a row correct. Each coin flip is an independent event. The result of one coin flip has no bearing on the result of the next coin flip. So if you've already gotten 19 coin flips correct, your odds of getting 25 correct are 1 in 2 to the (25 minus 19)th power = 2 to the 6th power = 1 in 64.

Lot's of unders on Pats Bills tonight.  Weather is the big talk of course. Watch it fly over now.

There's no advantages to follow or fade the Streak Survivors in the long run at any streak levels.  It's all around 50/50.

The $25 Dime Club Fantasy Football League Championship will be decided tonight. It's between me and one of my sons. I'm 33 points ahead and all he has is Najee Harris going tonight. It's been a crazy year in Fantasy so I would like to say it's over but it's not over. He is going for his 3rd Championship in that league and I'm trying to win my first Championship. It's my 3rd time in the Big Game. This is our 9th season and we always have a good time. If anybody is interested in getting another $25 Dime Club league going next year just let me know. Fantasy sports is kinda my thing.
