Well my BTS streak is now officially OVER at 16 wins. Ryan Braun was ejected in the third inning! That sucks! I can't believe my bad luck! He had two at bats resulting in a foul ball filled strike out and a ground out. I feel so cheated. I know what I said earlier. but I am not fine with this result. What a bonehead!

This is the 1900th post on this thread and I dedicate it to victims of the Tornadoes in Missouri and now Oklahoma. God bless the family's that have lost so much including loved ones. What a horrific string of events.
Amen, brother! I just now saw this post, guys. It really puts everything back in perspective. God bless all of those families affected in any way by the chain of disasters that have been occuring worldwide such as the numerous earthquakes, tsunamis (Thailand and Japan), tornadoes, and now the volcano in Iceland. Like Quad said earlier, "how is this possible?" God bless everyone!

I'm sorry to find out about Braun's BS ejection, that is a horrible way for a streak to end. I wish I could say more but pinch hitting, getting injured or ejected are the 3 cruelest ways to lose a streak in my book. To cheer you up the leader at 27 took Braun and so did another user at 22, but like I said above utter B.S.! I'd be furious myself so I understand your pain.

Yeah that definitely hurts Bamabilly. Reminds of the lady a few years ago that had a 35 game streak going or something like that. Anyways I forget who she picked but if memory serves me correctly he ejected in the 1st inning but he was credited with the AB because he hed 2 strikes on him. Crazy situation they still talk about that on the blogs. Most painful BTS memory.

Something tells me that the right pick won't win on that
White Sox/Texas game. Both starting pitchers gave up either 0 or 1 in 8
or 9 innings in their last starts but since the line is 9 it looks to easy to be true. Even though Under is the obvious choice, the game
is in Texas and the first 3 games between the teams have 15 runs
combined (4-0 Rangers twice and 4-3 White Sox in the other) there
is due to be an Over and either tonight's or tomorrows game will go
over if not both. Tomorrow's game once again has two good pitchers
again and looks like an Under result but it will go Over somehow if
today's game doesn't and they may both go Over since lots of Texas home
games do. I'm going with the Dodgers @ Astros Over 7. Both starting
pitchers should allow 3 runs so this should be an Over or a Push.
Just what I thought might happen, the score is 7-5 White Sox in the 7th inning and indeed the game is at 12 runs despite how these pitchers fared in their previous start. this maybe more about the hot weather in Texas which is why it's set higher and still goes over.

Those rules have kept me away from double headers. Only once did I end up picking a player that played in a double header and that was because I had no warning that I took someone from a DH.
That was Johnny Damon he went O fer in the 1st game so the 2nd game meant nothing and he got 3 hits but I stayed at 0.

I'm off to the San Francisco Bay Area on business boys! I don't have time to make my picks right now but GL to everyone today. I think we still have 1 member who has a nice BTS streak going. Let's keep it going Dime Club! Keep riding!

For today's Streak Survivor pick, I am going to fade the Padres for the 5th straight day as I expect the St Louis Cardinals to complete the sweep at spacious Petco Park.I didn't get the best price (-119), because I locked the pick in at around 2:30 AM. Since then, the line has done nothing but move in the direction of San Diego and has now dropped to STL -110. This does not discourage me, however, because I believe that the Cardinals are absolutely the right side. I will follow this post with several cappers plays that I have since uncovered that all support St Louis. I have hit on 10 of my last 13 Survivor picks and my last 4 in a row. For Win #5: St Louis Cardinals -119 BOLA!

CHUCK O'BRIEN 20 DIME* MLB* Saint LouisCardinals ML BREAKDOWN (Cardinals): Since coming
up to the big leagues in July 2009, Padres right-hander Mat Latos has
made 49 starts, and only three times has he allowed more than five runs
in game. You know the opponent in two of those three games? Yep, the Cardinals. In two career outings against St.Louis,
Latos has given up 15 runs, 17 hits and five walks with just two
strikeouts in exactly 5 1/3 innings. The final score in those two games:
Cardinals 23, Padres 6. Then again, Latos isn’t the only Padre who has struggled against St.Louis. Including a couple of playoff series, the Redbirds are 67-26 against San Diego going back more than a dozen years. Back
to Latos: After a breakout season in 2010, he hasn’t been very good at
all this year. He’s 1-6 with a 4.60 ERA overall and 0-4 with a 4.28 ERA
at home. And going back to his final two starts of 2010, the Padres have
lost eight of 10 behind Latos (including five of six at home). … True,
like Latos, Cardinals ace Chris
Carpenter has stumbled out of the gate in 2011, going 1-4 with a 4.88
ERA, including 1-3 with a 5.97 ERA on the road. However, he’s domidated
the Padres in his career (5-2, 2.63 ERA in 10 starts), and he’s
definitely enjoyed pitching in San Diego (1.32 ERA in four games, with
the Cardinals winning the last three by a collective score of 23-4). Not
only have the Redbirds flat-out owned the Padres over the years, but
they’ve been the better team lately, too – after Tuesday’s 3-2
extra-innings win, they’re on an 8-1 run (winning the last four in a
row), while San Diego has followed up a 9-6 hot streak by losing six of
seven and scoring a total of eight runs in the process

St.Louis,
which has won 4 in a row and 8 of its last 9, is in good position to
pull off the sweep against San Diego. Consider that the Cards are 14-4
in their last 18 in the 3rd game of a series and 67-26 in their last 93
meetings with the Padres. Former Cy Young winner Chris Carpenter has
struggled early, but I expect a nice performance out of him at
pitcher-friendly Petco. He's 6-2 with an ERA of 2.63 in 10 career starts
against the Padres. The Cardinals
are 5-2 in his last 7 starts vs. the Padres. The Padres, which have no
lost 5 straight, are just 3-13 in Mat Latos' last 16 starts, 1-6 in his
last 7 home starts and 0-8 in his last 8 starts coming on 4 days' rest. In addition, Latos is 0-2 with an ERA of 25.33 in 2 career starts against the Cards. We'll take St.Louis in this one

The Cardinals
grabbed the second game of this series in extra innings and they go for
the three-game sweep on Wednesday. It was their fourth straight win and
they are now 8-1 over their last nine games following being swept at
Cincinnati in their previous three games. St.Louis
is now 10 games over .500 on the season and five games over .500 on the
road to continue to hold a 3.5-game lead in the division over the Reds
and Brewers. The Cardinals are 22-8 in their last 30 games against the National League West.
San
Diego has dropped five in a row and is 1-7 in its last eight games. It
is pretty obvious to see what is wrong as the offense has been putrid
with a total of nine runs scored in those eight games. The Padres are
hitting .227 on the season, which is now worst in baseball and their
.197 average at home is easily the worst in the Majors. The pitching has
been good enough to keep some of their games close but they are still
11 games under .500 including 12 games under .500 at home.
Chris
Carpenter suffered through a rare rough patch but he bounced back in
his last start against the Royals despite not getting the win. It was
his first quality start in his last four games so it was a big step to
move back into the dominating direction. St.Louis
is just 2-8 in his 10 starts this season and that actually helping us
with the value in this line. Carpenter has dominated the Padres with
four straight quality outings including one earlier this season. Facing
this offense will keep his confidence boosting.
Mat Latos
counters for the Padres and he seems to be far from the same pitcher we
saw last season when he posted a 2.92 ERA and 1.08 WHIP. Through eight
starts this season he is 1-6 with a 4.60 ERA and 1.36 WHIP with only two
of those games being quality performances. Obviously a lack of run
support is a huge problem as he is receiving just 2.9 rpg including 1.8
rpg in five home starts. In two career starts against the Cardinals, Latos is 0-2 with a 25.31 ERA and 4.13 WHIP covering just 5.1 innings. 3* (955) St.LouisCardinals

I had Miguel Cabrera on BTS, he got a hit but the game went into a delay in the 3rd inning, never resumed and got postponed. As a result my streak did not move up to 6.

You made a good pick going with Miggy, Quad. I am sorry to hear that you were denied a win by inclement weather. Those are the breaks, but thankfully your streak is still intact! I went with Yadier Molina tonight on BTS as well as on Hot Streak. Thank you for the kind words yesterday and good luck.

BTW I took St. Louis on SFTC as well as Bodog. That's some good insight you have there Bamabilly. I'm glad I am on the right side of that one. Currently it's 1-1 in the top of the 5th. Hopefully Pujols can come through and keep my slim SFTC hopes alive.

Lets do it again, this time lets avoid catchers And I pick my batters from games with at least an over/under of 8.5 I tried to avoid anything below o/u of 8.0 Its complicated how i narrow them down And I always put catchers on autofade
And I'll try to post my picks more now and not wait to get to double digits streaks.
