This is all irrelevant. The leaders switch everyday. No one can even get to 17 wins of late. no matter the grand prize, it's so hard. ||lie.gif' border=0>||an_fight.gif' border=0>||an_beatup.gif' border=0>||an_roll_laugh.gif' border=0>||sad.gif' border=0>||peace.gif' border=0>||confused.gif' border=0>||an_burningbag.gif' border=0>||cool.gif' border=0>||surprised.gif' border=0>

A question to Tuppy and Wagerline. First, Tuppy, you live in Japan. You can never win the prize again anyway, right? I mean, you are picking for pride, right? Second, you will be the last and only $100,000 winner now after this change of the rules, right? Just curious!!!
Wagerline, I'm curious when did this contest start? How long has it been running is what I mean. I know it has changed owners, rules etc...but when did it first begin, the year. Just curious!!!

I cannot win any prize as long as i live outside of Canada and the USA. It is possible i will be the only winner but there is a possibility that every so often there will be an opportunity for someone to win 100,000.
My picks are worse than ever.
Good luck ESPNZONEBOY

A good idea would have been that any streak starting before the post would still be eligible.
However, 10,000 is still good money for a free contest and if another site were to have a bigger prize, there is no problem with playing both, so they can choose to make any rules they want.
I don't see how it's not worth it, even if it were for $100...

I'm no advocate for Wagerline here, but aren't you all b!tching at the wrong company? Looks to me like Bodog sponsors the Survivor game, and I'm pretty sure they have as long as I've played it. Shouldn't everyone be venting at Bodog since I'm assuming they're the ones that pay out the prize money? I doubt Wagerline could afford to pay out substantial prizes. Looks like their revenue only comes from advertising.
Bodog, on the other hand, probably rakes in multi-million dollar profits. And it seems they're the ones who are cutting the prize money 10 fold. A hundred grand should be nothing for a company like that, not to mention they probably pull in more players from people who visit this site and play Survivor and catch their ads everywhere.
I don't care either way. I can't even hit 10 in a row, so I won't be cashing any 21-game streak anytime soon, whether it's 10 grand or 100 grand. But I'm just making the point that everyone who's pissed off should be flooding Bodog with hate mail and not whining on here.

Probably true enough but Bodog is in the last stages
of becoming a nonentity.Bodog probably doesn't sponser any of survivor in the new year hence the
reduction,

There use to be websites devoted to the travails of
Bodog and Mr Ayres but I see that they are in the
parking lot of GoDaddy now.If I had any money in
Bodog,I would look to move.

When a new calendar year begins, the prize value will once again be set to $100,000. If yu start your streak in 2--7 and complete your 21st win in a row in 2008 you will still qualify for the $100,000.
W-T
I think people are mad because we were lied to more than anything linesmen. A lot of people were taking their time wating to make picks when the new year started now you just give them a month and its going to 10,000. Sure 10,000 is good money for a free contest but its change compared to the 100,000, doesnt make good sense to change it. When people see 100,000 dollars, more than they make in a year it draw their attention and you get more people to sign up and more advertisers. This is going to happen when you knock the prize down 90%

im sure it will attract less people, but still a nice prize for free....just like the lottery, i will only play it when it gets up to 50, 100 million or more....5 to 30 million just is not enough lol.i am sure sponsership had alot to do with prize drop
would like to see bigger prizes in nba, nhl, nfl, and ncaab yearly contest.......its a long year and alot of visits to this site to make pics...somewhat addicting....
still a great job by wagerline
ps. prize delivery time should not have to take 2 months....whats the hold up ...just curious

Here is a "Win-Win" solution to the "prize problem"...
Wagerline should keep everything as it is right now ($10,000 for 21 straight picks), and in addition, assign a brand new $100,000 prize for the 25 straight picks winner (limit 1 per calendar year).
Bottom line:
1. Nobody will ever be able to make 25 straight picks so Wagerline will get to keep the money and never pay out 100K.
2. $100,000 prize (even for practically impossible 25 straight wins) will still be attractive enough to ensure that every single Survivor player visits the website at least once a day (and will also attract many "visitors" to register as new members) which will generate necessary "hits" on sponsors' and advertisers' links and banners, which will subsequently ensure that our Wagerline survives competition, continues to grow, and remains the #1 free sports betting website in the world.
See... simple solution... everybody wins!
